Q: MRR and sustaintability
Hey, I already purchased the tool and am thoroughly enjoying it, but it concerns me that you are offering unlimited features at a relatively low price tier; it raises questions about how you will sustain this once the AWS and OpenAI credits run out.
What are your plans moving forward? I recommend implementing a fair usage policy, as there's a risk that users might misuse the service—potentially opting to upload everything to MyMemo instead of utilizing services like Google Drive. While I would definitely appreciate such a feature, I recognize that it isn't sustainable in the long run.
Could you please expand on that a bit more?
Good luck!

Sep 20, 2024A: 1. Even with the unlimited plan, only a few users will reach the high upload limits. Our current AWS and OpenAI costs are manageable, but PDF uploads are expensive due to the third-party service we use for text extraction. In the future, we may develop our own PDF extraction model.
2. Listing on AppSumo is a limited-time offer and not part of our long-term strategy. We still offer a regular subscription model, and we’re using AppSumo primarily to gather user feedback and improve the product.
3. We're also actively seeking investment.
I'm also very interested in how this will work in the long term.
I hope they answer this :/
so far they say they can cope. i got this over iki and saveday as they appear to be more half-baked and cost intensive (larger teams)...
