Q: Pocket export to MyMemo
Because of the Pocket desaster (shutdown on July 8, 2025) it would be great to have an automated import possibility of pocket content. Is there something like that possible? That could lead a good chunk of the disappointed to MyMemo…

Edited May 24, 2025A: Ok, thanks for your information! We will see how to do it. I do not know this before. Do you have joined in any community of Pocket? We just want to know how many users may come due to this.
I would love this, too! I have 11 years of articles saved. Thank you!
Really Cool! Also from pocket?
Pocket is enormous. If you can create a permanent import solution that leverages tags and doesn’t rely on syncing with Pocket, this could be good for your business.
Also, are article links we import stored on MyMemo regardless of whether a website that published an article goes down? In other words, are these articles we input via links stored permanently? This has been a feature of Pocket, making the content everlasting. Thank you so much!
Thanks for your information.
thx
Thanks for the great question!
We don’t save the entire webpage like Pocket, but we do permanently store the memo’s title, summary, link, and extracted source text.
So even if the website goes down, what’s in your memo stays safe.
Your idea about full-page saving is great — we’ll definitely consider it!
@Tony_MymemAU Many moving parts in this story. On TechCrunch, the founder of Digg, Kevin Rose, offered to buy Pocket from Mozilla. I haven’t been part of any Pocket community, just used the app. I already receive ad emails with discounts for similar apps. Media outlets mention millions of users, but it’s hard to say how many would actually pay for a service that was integrated in Firefox for free.
Got it. We will explore it. Thx
If you advertise or make video with the topic how to export pocket notes or something similar. You car draw at least few thousand users to MyMemo for sure
You're totally right — that's a great idea!
We'll start working on that video this week. Thanks so much for the suggestion! 🙌

I was devastated to learn about Pocket shutting down. I have used it extensively for a decade. Bookmarking things that MyMemo would have, had it existed then. My recipe collection is now in peril!!! To combine my Pocket links in MyMemo would be a "lifer" type incentive. Who could stop using MyMemo with all their Pocket links? Now with AI and MemoCast to make them even more useful!
I'm really sorry to hear that.
We truly hope everyone's memories and saved content can be preserved forever — we're working hard on that.
We're even exploring using blockchain to securely and permanently store content, maybe even turning it into MemoCoins.
That way, memories gain lasting value and will never be lost.
