Disappointing Limitations in Organization and Workflow
After exploring MyMemo, I was optimistic it could become my go-to tool for structuring research and categorising frequently used applications and sources. Unfortunately, it fell short in areas that matter most for efficient content organisation.
One significant limitation is the inability to create subfolders within collections. Instead, users are confined to predefined and separated filter categories like Notes, Images, Documents, Links, Videos, Memocast, Audio, Twitter, and Email? This lack of flexibility severely hampers the ability to organise diverse content in a way that fits different research needs. Additionally, the absence of options to link related cards makes it difficult to create a cohesive, interconnected research workflow.
These organisational constraints create a barrier to productivity. What could be a powerful tool becomes a cumbersome, overly rigid system that is difficult to navigate. The interface is clean, but the design lacks the logical structure needed to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.
Ultimately, while MyMemo offers some promising features, it doesn't provide the organisational depth needed for managing complex research or information-heavy workflows. Until these limitations are addressed, it’s hard to recommend MyMemo as a reliable solution for anyone who needs a flexible, intuitive knowledge management system.

Jul 6, 2025Hi Zevs,
Thank you so much for your valuable feedback — we truly appreciate it! 🧡
At MyMemo, we’ve always aimed to keep things radically simple. One of the reasons we didn’t introduce subfolders was because we hoped users wouldn’t have to manually manage their files — instead, just ask a question and let AI surface the most relevant memos for you, automatically.
That said, we absolutely hear you — and you’ll be happy to know that support for subfolders is already in development! 🛠️
Also, on the memo page, there’s a “related memos” section at the top-right — have you had a chance to explore that? It might help create some of the interconnections you’re looking for.
We’re incredibly grateful for your insights. If you’d like to chat more, feel free to email us at [email protected] or join our Discord community — we’d love to co-build MyMemo with thoughtful users like you and shape the future of personal AI assistants together. 💡🤝
Warm regards,
MyMemo Team
