What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?

We originally launched The Plus Blocks for Gutenberg to offer powerful design blocks, but we quickly realized users were still stuck juggling themes and extra plugins.

After talking to our community, it became clear: people didn’t just need blocks they needed an ecosystem.

At the same time, we had started too early Gutenberg was in its early, unstable days, with even basics like responsiveness being a challenge.

As Gutenberg matured, we took the opportunity to rewrite Nexter from the ground up building it into a fast, reliable, all-in-one solution that no longer depends on dozens of plugins or core elements.

What 3rd party tools is your product critically dependent on?

None. Nexter is self-contained, fully WordPress-native, and doesn’t rely on any external APIs to function.

Where is your customer data stored?

Our store and related systems are hosted on Digital Ocean, Frankfurt, Germany Servers, ensuring full GDPR compliance. We use secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure.

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

The idea came from our own frustration as agency developers constantly dealing with low-quality themes that were either too rigid or overloaded with bloat. We needed something clean, lightweight, and flexible. A theme that didn’t require installing new plugins just to get basic things done. That pain turned into a purpose and that purpose became Nexter.

What problem is your product solving and how?

Nexter solves the problem of bloated WordPress setups that rely on too many plugins, slow themes, and limited customization.

Most users end up stitching together 20+ plugins just to get basic functionality forms, SEO, headers, security, performance, maintenance mode, etc.— which leads to performance issues and compatibility headaches.

Nexter replaces all of that with a single, lightweight, and fully customizable ecosystem. With the theme, blocks, and extension toolkit working together, users get speed, control, and design flexibility without writing code or installing a plugin for every little feature.

What’s the #1 thing you’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?
