Good but not good enough
So I took Nifty for a good spin and I like alot of what I see. I have been working remotely for over 10 years mainly consulting with businesses around the world regarding their digital businesses.
I have used basecamp, Monday, clickup and todoist for handling projects with clients.
Although nifty is really nice and more similar to clickup or Monday, it is far behind from the actual power of customization these platforms provide you, but I think it can get there. So generally from a software potential, I would give it 5 tacos.
However,
-1 taco for the way they handle guests and clients, the way they structured their clients access is only applicable for companies such as web agencies and creative agencies, where the client is more concerned with milestones. But for us consultants, the key is the tasks and the training provided to the team rather than only hitting milestones. The inability of clients to have a birds eye view on what is being done for their company across different projects just stops me from being able to work with it. Unless if I cramp everything into one project which would be a total mess considering the platform's customization abilities currently.
-1 taco for support, because they talked to me as if I am requesting something that clients absolutely dont need, even telling me "if they were clients it would be fine", as if I was trying to cheat the system. So infact they are clients but they couldnt see past their agency background. So the negative here is because of the way I was addressed when I discussed this with their support.
Not sure if I will keep it yet, probably not since I cant see a way for this to work while providing a good experience for my clients.
If the clients thing doesnt concern you, then I think it is a good deal for you.

>> Guests can be part of multiple projects and even have access to the Overview screen which gives them birds-eye insight into all of the milestones (and the tasks tied to them) across all of the projects they're a part of in Nifty. While there are a handful of things Guests cannot do in Nifty, they are certainly able to be a part of a bunch of projects and have access to a unifying view across them. I apologize if this was not made clear.

Our goal at the Support Desk is listen to the needs of your business and offer a solution with the tools Nifty currently employs while ingesting any feedback you may provide. I apologize if you felt brushed off or ignored when requesting that a feature works differently than it currently does, as we've had feedback regarding the Guest role suggesting Guests can do far too much in Nifty as well as far too little. We know we can't make everyone happy, but we try to make sure everyone is heard, and that their concerns are met with any sort of workaround if it can be offered with the current features in Nifty.
I'd love it if you'd give us another shot, and maybe even considered revising your review to reflect the additional Guest insight that seems to have fit the description of what you're looking for!
