Q: What are the AI models you are using?

You show Chatgpt 4.1 in tab, but when i ask with prompt it says June 2024 updated so its 4.0 ?
You show Claude Sonnet 4 in tab, but it says its Claude 3.5 Sonnet June 2024 updated?
you show Claude Sonnet 3.7 in tab, but it says its Claude 3.5 Opus from July 2024?

Did i get something wrong?

A: Hi, thanks for reaching out

AI models are typically not programmed with a precise awareness of their actual model number (e.g., "Claude 4" or "GPT-4.1"). When they respond with such versions, they rely on stored training data (which stops at a cut-off date) or on handcrafted internal messages, not on real-time awareness of what version they are.

Please note that you will get the same responses if you try asking the same in Claude or ChatGPT website too.

Please let us know if you have any other questions

Sorry, never heard this before. You can even check the number of tokens that the ai is able to work with and If an AI Model identifies itself as an older version,.... why should it?
So you guarantee, that its using the version, that you are showing on the tabs?
Have you checked? Maybe there is a small bug or something inside the tool?
