Evernote + Notion
I have used Evernote many years ago and am currently using Notion for most of my note-keeping.
Nimbus Note feels like a hybrid between the two. Its block based interface allows you to create blocks of information which you can drag and drop inside the document.
The document organization, as well as tagging feel closer to Evernote.
As a freelancer I like the possibility of creating workspaces, one per client. This makes it easier to keep an overview of projects and adds another layer many other tools don’t have.
Design-wise Notion is preferable for me, but it is always tough comparing existing tools to newcomers.
I definitely think the Nimbus team is moving in a good direction and I will evaluate using Nimbus Note in parallel to my existing tools. Most likely for my freelance projects, because of the separate workspaces.
As a nice bonus you also get a screen-capture and annotation tool, which I have yet to try.

May 9, 2024Hey Tim,
I think it is good to choose based on your goal. In this case, you can identify which product does a better job for you, and then you need to go with it.
Notion is a great tool and in 2021 we will catch up with them in some aspects and simultaneously continue developing our unique features.
