Q: Concrete use case?

I see that your tool is awesome to create super easy a database and the API for it. But I struggle somehow, how I should use it. If I use Shopify, there is already a database behind. If I use Woocommerce, it's the same... and that's more or less the case for all the tools I use. So why should I use this database instead of the native databases?

A: Hey Dandos,
Great question.
I would talk more from tools like flutterflow, bubble.io, weweb, Webflow, Nowa etc as I'm not very much familiar with how shopify works. But this applies to any framework where you have the freedom to integrate with 3rd party apis.
Now, bubble.io is a great no-code app builder and has its own native database. But what if you want to switch from bubble to some other web builder? what about your database? In which language is that database written? Can you get the exact export of that database and APIs? Answer is NO! You simply get vendor locked-in! Same goes with other tools as well.
Now, with NoCodeBackend, you have an autonomous backend where you have complete control. You have your OWN APIs to it. The database is pure MySQL that you can anytime export and import anywhere else as well to setup the same database. You basically get the backend freedom.
Now, that was just one of the usecase to answer your question. There can be ton of other usecases when you get involved with fetching or storing data in a database. You basically get the superpowers in the form of your custom APIs that you can use anywhere to display custom data or store new custom data.

Hope this gives some level of clarity. It would be awesome if you can join our webinar tomorrow where we will dive into how NoCodeBackend actually works.

Thanks
Jas

Thank you Jas, helped indeed.... one last question: How can I manage the content of the database beside pure API calls? Is there a way to connect a MySQL webviewer with it for an easy "click & play" and SQL-query-handling? Which one would you recommend?

Founder

Hey Dandos. We are working on implementing SQL playground which will allow you to run SQL queries via which you can insert data within your database.

interesting so if i wanted to upload WordPress i could instead of using Hostgator. Have my Api and built an custom website custom plugin to create whatever i wanted. So I would be able to connect it Chatgpt, Claude or any other tool so bring everything into one place is that correct?

Founder

I'm not sure if I understood your question correctly. But what we are specifically doing is to create a cloud database for you and also generate APIs for you so that you can integrate your front end with our backend via those APIs.
