We agree with what you are saying. But these plans have been curated by AppSumo team. And as per our discussions, we will be putting limitations from our next campaign onwards: API rate limits on all tiers, database size limitations and limits of number of tables and columns.
We are also planning to let users integrate their own servers so as to make sure all the databases gets generated on their end itself.
