Q: Upgrading old plan to new plan?

Hello, I'd like to know if upgrading from an old tier 2 with unlimited records per database to the current Tier 3 or 4 offer would maintain the unlimited records feature?

Thanks for the transparent reply — I'd rather back a founder who plans for sustainability than one who over-promises. I'm not asking for unlimited anything, just a fairer line and a real growth path. What I'd consider fair: 1. 500K records per database at the top tier instead of 250K — double the headroom, still a clear sustainable ceiling. 2. The one-time records upgrade raised to a 1M limit — a genuine growth path at a one-time fee that still earns you revenue. That combination fully resolves my concern: fairer baseline, real runway, sustainable for you. I plan to build here for years — I just need to know the ceiling isn't a wall.
Can you clarify what happens when records are deleted? Is it a soft delete or permanent delete? Does deleting records immediately free up record-limit capacity? Are deleted records also removed from backups, logs, analytics, and integrations? Is there an export option before deletion? Can retention rules be set by list/status? Does deletion affect credits, limits, or historical reporting?
Tier 5 buyer here. The product has potential, but the current record limits are the main blocker for me. At this tier, 500k+ records, or a reasonably priced records add-on, would make it much easier to justify and scale. As it stands, scaling could become expensive quickly, and I’m not yet sure I’ll keep it beyond the 60-day refund period. I understand this is a new offer and not the previous unlimited deal, but new buyers should note that many existing 5-star reviews appear to relate to that older offer rather than the current limits. With the refund window approaching, I hope the team can clarify whether higher limits or add-ons are planned.
