Q: Custom Subdomain and DNS Entries

I've IONOS hosting. I added a new subdomain e.g dev.company.com. I added all those DNS records manually in DNS successfully, except the @ record under the subdomain. I don't want to change the @ records under main company.com domain.

Please advise.

A: Hey Faisal,

Did you pass in the subdomain during setup? Can we talk on the discord channel so I can guide you through the process of configuring your domain name?

Kind regards
Tristan

Does that @ DNS record need to be added under main company.com domain or under subdomain.domain.com domain? Type: A
Name: @
IPv4 address: 130.211.96.238

Normally if you pass the subdomain that you want to use with the setup you should not have to add a @ DNS record. And its never really A records that you need to add. Its actually only CNAMES.

How exactly are you configuring this subdomain? Can it be that this is from a while ago? We did a new release recently that changed the custom domain setup, can you perhaps try and go through that again?

Hi Tristan,

I used two applications under my Nocode-x Workspace, one with company.com and the other as subdomain.domain.com.

Neither of those custom domain setup was successful. I used the automated wizard that it starts and let it configure my DNS, but it messed up few settings I think due to @ record it added. I then manually added application's DNS entries but no success either.
