Thanks for your questions, yes Nowa does support REST API, now you can do GET requests but we are working on supporting other requests like POST, UPDATE, DELETE, .etc. and as soon as we update Nowa you will get all those updates as part of your plan.
For now, we support Supabase and REST API but we are working on supporting Firebase as well at the moment.

About having MySQL db well you can have it using your own API, so you can simply have a simple backend with endpoints that perform queries on MySQL dp and then connect your app with those endpoints using REST API inside Nowa.
Or you can also use Supabase with Nowa, which is a no-code open-source backend solution that offers you PostgreSQL DB. We have a tool for integrating your app with Supabase that will make it very easy for you, we also have a tutorial on how to do it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mvuvUHA2yY
