Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is a free and open source software for YouTubers and Twitchers to record and live stream videos.

Create scenes from multiple sources, including your browser window, webcam, images, and text. And while you’re at it, don’t forget to set up the unlimited number of scenes to switch between seamlessly via Custom Transitions.

Add filters to your sources, scenes, and audio. For instance, use Expander to remove unwanted background noise. OBS also lets you add new sources, duplicate existing ones, and adjust the properties easily.

OBS is highly customizable, making it an ideal choice if you want to tailor the interface to your needs. Select the configuration options for broadcasting or customize your hotkeys for muting specific audio sources and switching between scenes.

You can also rearrange your scene layout (e.g., from list to grid view) and set each individual dock to pop out to its own window.

See your video in Multiview Mode. This lets you monitor several different scenes and easily transition to any of them with a single or double click. Quickly modify your scenes and sources before publishing them.

You can move sources to a new position during your scene transitions, stream to multiple RTMP servers simultaneously, or even display information about a song you’re currently playing in OBS without running another program.
