Q: I'm looking back over the features listed & saw "in-app purchases".
I know you were talking about possible future ability to offer the Disney+ (Mulan) option, but what current feature is "in-app purchases" referring to now? Do you have an example of a current business using your platform & what they are selling in-app in addition to their subscription price. I've studied all of the client sites listed on your website, so I'm familiar with each of their subscription models. But I'm trying to visualize what I could offer as an in-app purchase as the platform is now because it might impact where I set my monthly subscription price.
A: Hi Kimberly - "In App Purchases" is referring to the ability of a user to subscribe to one of your plans using Apple's, Google Play's, or Roku's In-App-Purchases features. It does not mean additional content for sale other than your subscription plans. It is basically the ability to pay using your Apple ID or Google Pay, etc. I hope that helps!
Q: I want to publicly apologize to Julian_Wolf, he was spot on in his 5 tacos for platform 1 taco for deal assessment.
This is not as good of a deal after I did the numbers. Follow me here:
Monthly subscription
Hulu is $5.99 Disney + $6.99 ESPN + $5.99 AppleTV $4.99 The average cost of premium subscriptions is $5.99 (we can not make money selling subscriptions as it is structured) If I charge $3.99 just to stay competitive I lose a dollar so I net $2.99 per subscriber, but then give it back when producing content. It's like burning a candle at both ends and you as the content producer is in the middle.
If I wanted to run a daily or weekly content segment that would be 30 segments or 20 hours over or an additional payout to Odeum of $80.00 at $4x per
Odeum cost of this platform $99.00 (1 code) Apple App registration Developer program $99 (per year) Andriod App Developer $25 (one time)
Sunken cost just to get my show on this platform is estimated $225+ Marketing cost $100-$200 Total Startup cost is $425- $500
The numbers do not work on this deal as it is currently structured. 1. You have to give us enough free hours to be profitable and like yourself be sustainable. 2. You have to allow us to be able to stack more hours per code per channel.
* You can't cut your investors off at the knees by making money on both ends. Per-user and per hour the numbers don't work for a small to mid-sized business.
I am structuring a high ticket digital product right now that I can see this working for, but I will only purchase 1 code to do one channel. I was going to purchase about 5 codes for my other lines, but until I did the numbers so the numbers only work for one of my product/services where I charge enough to make a nice spread. I will still offer my regular program course, but this will be an elite/premium package.
Thanks for your response and considering using our platform. Now you can imagine how impossible it would be to use one of the other players in this space like Vimeo OTT or Uscreen, where your cost to just have the basics of the platform with branded apps (like we are offering) is $30,000-$50,000 per year! And yet... people are doing it and making money over there. The barrier to entry is super high and our product lowers it dramatically...but its still a business and you need a lot of components to make it work. Our software alone won't solve all problems, but we hope it enables a lot of folks to get into the game. Cheers.
Jay I have thought long and hard about it. I will purchase anywhere between 3-5 codes, I will make the purchase after your walkthrough of the platform on the webinar. I agree it is not a standalone service it is a complimentary service or premium add on. I did notice a lot of workout websites where that is easily a $25 subscription so I can see where that has made a lot of sense with covid and all. I am in the coaching space and I have have my money back off one sale just by saying I have this access at my premium level. It's just hard to get your hands around this deal, but I crunched my own numbers and will make it happen.
I think if I was like a short film producer or something like this I would get this. But you can just pop all that on YouTube. People can catch you on YouTube in smart TV's and any device now days. Having a channel on one of these platforms is really just vanity at this point. Plus I would not price a channel anything higher than 5 per month if I wanted subscribers, I'd make it free if possible.
Q: I run a small consulting company for multiple small businesses...
mostly in the professional (i.e. doctors, attorneys, other industry-specific consultants) and a few product and services orgs (restaurants, service providers, etc). We want to support their efforts from being customer-facing companies, to taking their businesses online. Hopefully with Odeum, we can offer them great opportunity.
Aside from separate professional businesses listed above, I have ownership in a large performing artist talent agency/management company. Us getting this right may open the floodgates for subscription channels to many (in the hundreds) professional artists that we represent for film/tv/music and other on-screen job placement. Offering each of them their own content-subscription channel is a great option.
However, many are struggling young starving artists... and given the understandable re-branding restrictions per channel... this proposed model that seek may wind up with a few "wasted" channels due to individual's artistic business that go down in flames (especially post-COVID).
Potential solutions... please advise:
1) Each branded channel we open are under ONE brand name (i.e. the name of our talent agency)... we open a subscription channel hosting pooled content from multiple artists. For example... each channel shares our (example) "TALENT-AGENCY.tv" brand. Sort of like a branded "collection of subscription-based channels".
1a) If I have 5 codes, and therefore 5 channels... can each channel share the "TALENT-AGENCY.tv" brand? - If so, is this done by CNAME under one each branded app? (A) dance.TALENT-AGENCY.tv... (B) fashion.TALENT-AGENCY.tv, (C) comedy.TALENT-AGENCY.tv... etc)
1b) How could each app look/feel different... but still under our umbrella TALENT-AGENCY brand?
1c) If 1a is correct... this helps in the event of talent no longer being represented by us, and we remove the content, and replace with other artists content under our management If not correct... what other options would work?
1d) Is there a way to meter content usage for each playlist (i.e. each artist gets a playlist on one channel)
2) Ideally.. our collection of the five TALENT-AGENCY.tv branded channels each have their own subscription price (say $11.99/mo per channel) but we would want to offer a channel-bundle price for access to all 5 (at say $29.99/mo). Is there a way to possibly have a single sign on to grant access to multiple channel apps with a bundled subscription model?
3) Could we embed each channel onto our a single TALENT-AGENCY website (i.e. Wordpress, Webflow, Wix, or other website option) and therefore gate each channel page on the website (each channel pages would have the cname.TALENT-AGENCY.tv member restricted access) opened by a single sign on (SSO) or social login? (i,e. Facebook login, Google login, etc).
4) Are subscription fees collected under your Odeum Stripe account, and each channel is paid using Stripe vendor payouts?
A: hey dev.ops, you have some really great questions here and I want to work through them with you. Is it possible to use the chat bot on the bottom right of our website so we can discuss? www.odeum.io thanks
Hi, I am interested in the responses to dev.ops questions or what type of work around, if any, is being considered for those of us with similar use cases where rebranding may be necessary. Thanks!
Q: You say "we do reserve the right to remove content from channels that are not being used after 6 months."
Can you please clarify, does that just mean that you remove the content and new content would have to be uploaded, or does it mean that the channel would be closed down completely?
A: We mean that if a channel is created, and video is being stored but nothing is done with it for more than 6 months (like no subscribers, no use), we reserve the right to remove content from the channel, and to stop supporting it. This would not be done without notice, but allows us to clean up unused channels.
Thank you for your reply. To take it a step further...
As you know, AppSumo codes have to be redeemed within 60 days, otherwise you lose them.
This is something that I am very interested in, but for the future, not for the here and now.
So what happens if I redeem an AppSumo code, and then do nothing else, don't create a channel, don't upload any videos, don't register with any app stores, nothing. How long do I get to start? How long before I lose access to your platform?
Thank you.
Q: Just Brought several codes.
1. What is the maximum timeline for me to create to create my channels? 36 mths/ unlimited? 2. Can I manually create new subscribers on Odeum that pay their subscription on a NON-Odeum website payment system? 3. If I create ALL my Channels using a single email ... can I split them into separate emails later ? Vice-Versa? 4.. If a channel only have 10-25 subscribers, is that enough so that Odeum maintains the Channel in the future? 4a. What are the minimum subscribers needed so that Odeum does NOT stop supporting the Channel? 5. Will your live streaming feature be part of this Appsumo LTD plan?
A: Hello, The appsumo codes must be redeemed in 60 days, but you wont need to launch right away. However we do reserve the right to remove content from channels that are not being used after 6 months.
You can manually create subscribers becasue they will need to activate their own devices. You could give existing customers coupon codes to give them 100% off, and then run your purchase outside of the system, but that might create some other unplanned work for you as well, like cancelling them. Any activated subscription would count as a subscriber for any month their subscription is active, and count as a charge that month - hopefully that makes sense.
You can add new managers with additional email addresses to an account.
When Live is available, it will be available to all of our publishers. However should they choose to use it, there will likely be an added fee structure.
In response to your questions about minimum subscribers, it is important to say that the purpose of Odeum’s platform is to help our publishers in launching a paid subscription video service. If you do not intend to launch a paid service, then Odeum is probably not the right solution for your needs. We would not shut down your channel if you were honestly trying to grow a paid subscription service but only had 10 to 25 subscribers. But if you intention is to only have a small number of subscribers, that really is not in the spirit of the product. I hope this is helpful.
Thanks for bringing up these questions @just1000aday
Hi @Courtney-Odeum, thanks for bringing this deal to the community. I see the potential, just crafting my execution plan (started late). I bought a few codes in the spirit of FOMO and only learned about this deal when the clock down started.
My goal is to partner with established creators/talent in different niches who could fast track a quality catalog of new assets and then launch a channel. Could I redeem my codes with a place holder channel name? If so, then I will be more inclined to top off my codes for a full-stack.
Redeeming with a placeholder channel name allows me to properly vet talents to ensure they are the right fit for the vision, channel, and Odeum's platform. Not waste resources on both ends on a rushed execution.
A: Hi there. We wouldn't be able to answer that question without seeing the content you are referring to. If you want to reach out to us on the chat on our odeum.io and send us some examples of the content you want to publish, we'll do our best to respond.
The fact that you would consider censoring CONSERVATIVE - (aka NOT ILLEGAL) content is deeply disturbing and tells me all that I need to know about your company.
Good morning, The answer i the same: We wouldn't be able to answer that question without seeing the content you are referring to. If you want to reach out to us on the chat on our odeum.io and send us some examples of the content you want to publish, we'll do our best to respond. You can also refer to our terms of service and acceptable use. Thanks!
That's a stunning admission by Jay and Courtney. Apparently, even if there are no legality issues with the content, Odeum plays big brother for your channel even though this is a paid service. Hard pass as that sort of overlord mentality in Silicon Valley is bad for all of us.
Oh that's silly. All we are saying is that Odeum has a review process to ensure that content is aligned with our terms of service. And because these questions are posted without details or examples, and in a bit of a way that feels like a trap, we simply say it would be up for review. You can read our publisher terms here: https://odeum.io/terms/publisher-terms-of-service/
Q: Hi, how do contributors upload their respective videos onto the account (channel)?
Do they have the authority to upload videos by themselves (a.k.a. a portal for them to upload or some sort)? Or they have to send the videos to me (as Admin) to upload?
A: Hello - Any account manager can upload video to your channel. You can add many account managers to your channel, but they will have full access to all info and reporting.
Q: Hi, please help clarify:
1) If we get 10 codes, do we manage all 10 channels in a single Odeum dashboard ...
(thus with single email) or is it in other forms? Each channel will have its own separate performance and revenue report? 2) If one of the channels ABC didn't work out well, can we cancel this particular channel (remove all files on Odeum servers and remove existence from all developer apps) and retrieve 1 channel spot for future new channel?
A: In our Dashboard you can switch between publishing channels with a small switcher control in the corner. Everything about each channel is completely distinct. Nothing is shared between channels except your access (as you choose)
No once you have launched a channel, you have used your AppSumo code to launch that channel and we will support it for the life of that channel. You cannot close a channel and launch a new one in its place. That would require a new Odeum plan (or AppSumo code).
Q: Hi, please help clarify:
1) Are all the 3 "normal Odeum fees" applied to the publisher or the subscriber?
2) Regarding this statement: "Normal Odeum fees apply for each Odeum channel: transaction fees - 2.9% + $0.30 (+1% for international cards)"
For example: I charge my US subscriber $5/mth. But when the transaction goes through Odeum, does it mean that a total of $5.45 ($5 + $0.145 + $0.30) will be charged to my subscriber's credit card?
A: Hello - In your example the subscriber is charged $5/mo. From that $5, the $1 to Odeum + transaction fees are removed. The rest is your revenue. Does that make sense?
Yes thats correct. Just so you are fully informed, this may be more helpful: http://help.odeum.io/en/articles/1404851-how-publishers-get-paid
Q: Hi, my team and I are getting more interested in this deal.
Probably go max stakes but need to clarify:
Use case scenario: In our yoga channel, we have a few instructors contributing to the one channel. From Odeum's webinar, I think Jay mentions that Odeum will issue a financial statement stating the revenue, all fees incurred & net income for the previous month. We wonder if Odeum can itemize it based on playlist, contributors (in the case, the instructors) OR video because we think that would allow us to display the payout amount (what he/she is entitled to get paid) to each respective contributor and more efficiently arrange payout for him/her. Would very much welcome any alternative that Odeum can assist in this case. Thanks in advance.
A: Hey there - The revenue reports do not filter by content however we do have reports for viewing stats by video, as well as overall content performance. We have a few publishers that pay out incentive or royalty amounts based on these reports, using their own metrics. You can hit us up on Support to talk more about this if you would like.
A: Hello - This LTD was structured with the help of Appsumo management. As a lot of the questions have revolved around the amount of storage included and the associated costs, I think it might be helpful to also point out the biggest value proposition that is included in this LTD. We build, maintain, update, patch, and improve a full set of mobile and TV apps for you for life. When iOS 45 comes out, we’ve got you covered. This is normally a $10,000 ANNUAL licensing fee. (compare to other solutions that are more like $35-$40,000 annually)
I hope this better explains the intention of the Odeum platform - a paid subscription video platform. We get it is not for everyone. Let me know if we can help with other questions.
A: Hello - No, there is no review system, although a subscriber can "favorite" their own favorite videos to return to easily. Payments are made through the platform, either using Stripe on the web or In App Purchases through the apps.
Hi Courteny, Thank you for your prompt response. Sorry, just another question(s) 1. Does the app have a 'unlock bonus content' feature whereby they viewer is motivated to view x hours of content to unlock a bonus video (all within the 10 hours of course) 2. Does drip content work, where a certain video is accessible only on a certain date?
Hi! No, Odeum currently does not have either of those features. We are looking at adding on tiered content, including at additional pricing, in the near future. This will include Live, and perhaps transactional content.
Q: Hi, this looks quite promising ;)
If people subscribe through my website (with reason that I can take all the ...
revenue instead of being commission-cut by the platforms), can they still have access to my content on all those platform apps?
A: Yes! If your users subscribe through your Odeum website, you do not lose those in app purchase fees. And yes, your users will still have access to the content through all the apps. Kinda like Netflix.
I already have a membership platform based on WordPress, so I already have a method of delivering my content. Yet I don’t have access to TV and App audiences. I’m looking for more syndication. Once setup, how will my channel be found? Will it be pushed towards a potential audience? What’s the marketing model you recommend for creators? Thx
A: Hello Olivier, Our product is a multi-platform subscription video on demand solution allowing you to essentially deliver your own branded mini-Netflix. And although potential subscribers could find you and subscribe in all the app stores, and through search engines, marketing your channel is up to you. We recommend starting with social media campaigns, but obviously the sky is the limit!
I have the same potential set-up as you. Just bought an LMS and pairing it with a membership plug in. I'm thinking that this could work for my freshest content, as the new "season" of episodes.
Use the included hours, and rotate out when I want to post new content.
I don't expect that the audience will find me there (Roku, Amazon, Android tv, etc)...BUT....it makes it easier perhaps for my audience to follow my demos and create their own item by watching on their tv if they want, or following my roadtrip etc.
And then, if I get a big enough subscription audience, THEN I can pay the "rent" of going over the included hours.
We do have a feature called "Resources" where, as a publisher, you can attach links and PDFs to channels and videos. If you wanted to attach a YouTube link to one of your videos and or channels as a resource to your content.
No, all content is stored inside the Odeum platform,
Q: Wanting to buy several codes but some questions I need answered:
1.
Does the app have any CTA features that would send my subscriber to a 3rd party link/website for support/knowledge base? 2. Any way to forward a current subscriber to another of my channels? ( not to share videos but for them to maybe become a new subscriber? 3. Authorization to view/use the app is based on Cell phone number or registered Email/Password ? 3a. If email/pwd is the login authorization .... Are Multiple concurrent logins from the same email/pwd allowed? 4. If I offer a 14 day trial that ends ... the 25th of each month and they do not subscribe ... .. does the registration/code, automatically removed /expired by your system, so I am not charged the $1 subscription fee?
A: hey there - here are some quick answers but I would suggest you watch the demo for a very thorough tour. 1. Does the app have any CTA features that would send my subscriber to a 3rd party link/website for support/knowledge base? -- Yes, you can add a link to the subscriber nav, you can add links to videos and playlists, and you can add to the FAQs. 2. Any way to forward a current subscriber to another of my channels? ( not to share videos but for them to maybe become a new subscriber? -- Not specifically, but I imagine you could accomplish this through email marketing 3. Authorization to view/use the app is based on Cell phone number or registered Email/Password ? -- No - check out this article: http://help.odeum.io/en/articles/4502426-magic-link-activation 3a. If email/pwd is the login authorization .... Are Multiple concurrent logins from the same email/pwd allowed? - Multiple devices can access the same account, yes. 4. If I offer a 14 day trial that ends ... the 25th of each month and they do not subscribe ... .. does the registration/code, automatically removed /expired by your system, so I am not charged the $1 subscription fee? -- Here is another article: http://help.odeum.io/en/articles/4564811-per-subscriber-fees-in-odeum
I really appreciate the hard work that goes into making such a body of work. I purchased a code and want to purchase more, however, the more I read and research I find myself at the crossroads. you guys say things like, if you have 100 subs @$14.99 you make $1499.00 per month, and we only get $1 per sub. As long as your not over on your free for 10hours.(20 half-hour show or 10-hour shows)
Can you point us to some of the channels that only use 10hours a month? I would love to see their format or structure.
This all sounds good on paper! how much content do you need to sale a subscription for $14.99
Who is this deal really for? producers, movie makers, famous speakers, etc...
1. You need lots of quality content to attract paying subscribers. (Purchase vs create it)
I don't mind growing the page, However, I don't want to break the bank building content...paying monthly for storage while building. The $99 buy-in becomes a monthly subscription for me. (This is why stacking make since)
PROS
The buy-in of $99 is great The waiving of the fee is awesome. App Created Website
CONS Monthly storage fee for any content over 10hours-even if you don't have subscribers
A: Hello ceecann, I am not really clear on your question but I will try to be helpful. If you create a channel with a $14.99/mo subscription, Odeum takes $1 per user per month, and the rest is yours. Perhaps you had that backwards? You asked who this platform best serves. The answer is endless. We think its great for anyone wants to monetize their video content with subscriptions, rather than ads. That could be a youtube channel moving to Odeum for direct revenue. Its also a great solution for fitness and yoga studios to enhance their in-person offerings. Its great for industry experts or speakers, education specialists (be it for something like cooking, painting or perhaps teaching sign language!), influencers, and more. Also a solution for content experts, like auto reviewers or mechanics.) Yes there are storage fees for over 10 hours of video stored, but there are no bandwidth fees. I think it might be helpful to also point out the biggest value proposition that is included in this LTD. We build, maintain, update, patch, and improve a full set of mobile and TV apps for you for life. When iOS 45 comes out, we’ve got you covered. This is normally a $10,000 ANNUAL licensing fee. (compare to other solutions that are more like $35-$40,000 annually) Hopefully this helped.
I would like to see an answer to your comment, I'm between "buy" and "not buy".
I'm starting a new YouTube channel to teach others about what I do and I got here.
But so far, this seems only plausible [to me] to have a course that is roughly 10 hours long and that is it...
and then the subscriber part - I suppose subscribers will just get the content, pay for it until they don't have a use for the course anymore, and then I stop paying $1 since I'd assume they would unsub and it automatically takes that into account?
It seems redundant when I can just control everything myself on my own platform and just disregard being on multiple apps.
Perhaps this is very niched and/or for those with a dedicated plan of action to use this.
Q: Will you ever come back to Appsumo?

4) Are subscription fees collected under your Odeum Stripe account, and each channel is paid using Stripe vendor payouts?

Will do Courtney, thanks for offering up that option.
Thank you.
Courtney-Odeum
May 14, 2024A: We mean that if a channel is created, and video is being stored but nothing is done with it for more than 6 months (like no subscribers, no use), we reserve the right to remove content from the channel, and to stop supporting it. This would not be done without notice, but allows us to clean up unused channels.
Share Odeum
- Thanks
Courtney-Odeum
May 14, 2024A: Hello,
The appsumo codes must be redeemed in 60 days, but you wont need to launch right away.

I am looking forward to your response.
/ J
Hey - yes, you can redeem with a place holder channel name, which can be edited in the dashboard. You would just need to lock that down before launch.
Q: Hi, One of my clients wants to launch a conservative channel, will you allow it or their content will be ...
censored similarly to how other big tech companies censor conservative content.
Please let me know if it will work or not as I don't want to lose client by giving false hope.
Thank you.

May 14, 2024A: Hi there. We wouldn't be able to answer that question without seeing the content you are referring to. If you want to reach out to us on the chat on our odeum.io and send us some examples of the content you want to publish, we'll do our best to respond.
Share Odeum
The fact that you would consider censoring CONSERVATIVE - (aka NOT ILLEGAL) content is deeply disturbing and tells me all that I need to know about your company.
Easy pass.
What if I want to upload liberal content, would you need to check that content also before making promises?
Thanks in advance.
Courtney-Odeum
May 15, 2024A: Hello - Any account manager can upload video to your channel. You can add many account managers to your channel, but they will have full access to all info and reporting.
Share Odeum
Q: Hi, please help clarify: 1) If we get 10 codes, do we manage all 10 channels in a single Odeum dashboard ...
Thanks in advance.
Jay_Odeum
May 15, 2024A: In our Dashboard you can switch between publishing channels with a small switcher control in the corner.
I hope that helps.

Q: Hi, after this appsumo deal ends if we need to get more channels, are we still able to get deals like this by just contacting your Support?

Q: Hi, is there any way to embed youtube channel videos?
Thank you!
Courtney-Odeum
May 15, 2024A: No - this is a complete SVOD solution that should essentially replace your YouTube content with a more reliable revenue model.
Share Odeum
Q: Hi, please help clarify: 1) Are all the 3 "normal Odeum fees" applied to the publisher or the subscriber?
2) Regarding this statement: "Normal Odeum fees apply for each Odeum channel: transaction fees - 2.9% + $0.30 (+1% for international cards)"
For example: I charge my US subscriber $5/mth. But when the transaction goes through Odeum, does it mean that a total of $5.45 ($5 + $0.145 + $0.30) will be charged to my subscriber's credit card?
Courtney-Odeum
May 14, 2024A: Hello -
In your example the subscriber is charged $5/mo.
From that $5, the $1 to Odeum + transaction fees are removed. The rest is your revenue. Does that make sense?

Hi, thanks for answering. Yes, your calculation made sense to me.
That means all of the 3 Normal Odeum Fee is applied ONLY to the publisher ya?
Courtney-Odeum
May 15, 2024A: Hey there -
The revenue reports do not filter by content however we do have reports for viewing stats by video, as well as overall content performance. We have a few publishers that pay out incentive or royalty amounts based on these reports, using their own metrics. You can hit us up on Support to talk more about this if you would like.

Q: LTD that can't be used without paying?
Not even 100 subscribers included in deal?
I don't understand why you want to charge us BOTH for content (video hours) and for subscribers... it should be one or the other, but not both.
Looked great deal, but it is not.
Courtney-Odeum
May 15, 2024A: Hello - This LTD was structured with the help of Appsumo management.

Q: Hi Team Odeum, Thank you for coming to AS.
2 questions:
1.Will there be a viewer rating & review system for each video?
2.Can the payments be made externally or only through Odeums payment gateway?
Regards,
DR
Courtney-Odeum
May 14, 2024A: Hello -
No, there is no review system, although a subscriber can "favorite" their own favorite videos to return to easily. Payments are made through the platform, either using Stripe on the web or In App Purchases through the apps.

Hi Courteny,
Thank you for your prompt response. Sorry, just another question(s)
1. Does the app have a 'unlock bonus content' feature whereby they viewer is motivated to view x hours of content to unlock a bonus video (all within the 10 hours of course)
2. Does drip content work, where a certain video is accessible only on a certain date?
Regards,
DR
Hi!
No, Odeum currently does not have either of those features. We are looking at adding on tiered content, including at additional pricing, in the near future. This will include Live, and perhaps transactional content.
Q: Hi, this looks quite promising ;) If people subscribe through my website (with reason that I can take all the ...
revenue instead of being commission-cut by the platforms), can they still have access to my content on all those platform apps?
Courtney-Odeum
May 15, 2024A: Yes! If your users subscribe through your Odeum website, you do not lose those in app purchase fees. And yes, your users will still have access to the content through all the apps. Kinda like Netflix.
Share Odeum
Q: Hi, I'm tempted.
Thx
Courtney-Odeum
May 15, 2024A: Hello Olivier,
Our product is a multi-platform subscription video on demand solution allowing you to essentially deliver your own branded mini-Netflix. And although potential subscribers could find you and subscribe in all the app stores, and through search engines, marketing your channel is up to you. We recommend starting with social media campaigns, but obviously the sky is the limit!
Share Odeum
Olivier,
I have the same potential set-up as you.
I'm considering it for this use case.
Q: Can channel feed with YouTube link?
Travis_Odeum
May 15, 2024A: Hi, Sumolings. No, not at this time. We will post an update if anything changes.

We do have a feature called "Resources" where, as a publisher, you can attach links and PDFs to channels and videos. If you wanted to attach a YouTube link to one of your videos and or channels as a resource to your content.
Is it possible to just embed youtube videos with urls instead of reuploading? Thank you!
No, all content is stored inside the Odeum platform,
Q: Wanting to buy several codes but some questions I need answered: 1.
Thanks for your LTD
Courtney-Odeum
May 15, 2024A: hey there - here are some quick answers but I would suggest you watch the demo for a very thorough tour.
-- Not specifically, but I imagine you could accomplish this through email marketing
3. Authorization to view/use the app is based on Cell phone number or registered Email/Password ? -- No - check out this article: http://help.odeum.io/en/articles/4502426-magic-link-activation
Hope this helped!

Q: This platform concept is amazing.
(This is why stacking make since)
PROS
The buy-in of $99 is great
The waiving of the fee is awesome.
App Created
Website
CONS
Monthly storage fee for any content over 10hours-even if you don't have subscribers
Courtney-Odeum
May 15, 2024A: Hello ceecann,
I am not really clear on your question but I will try to be helpful.
Also a solution for content experts, like auto reviewers or mechanics.)
Yes there are storage fees for over 10 hours of video stored, but there are no bandwidth fees. (compare to other solutions that are more like $35-$40,000 annually)
