Q: HOW IT WORKS Just to make sure I fully understand how I can use the 10 stack: If I wanted, I could have one ...

service (like Hulu for example), with all the apps etc. for access...

And then within that Hulu like service, I could have 10 Channels (1 per stack)...

Which in the Hulu example could be like the way they divide genres for example...

And then inside of each channel, I could have as many series as I like (playlists) provided that the total hours were 10 hours or less per channel (genre)... With the option to go higher at $4 per hour that I go over?

Example:
Name of Service / App: ToddFlix

People log in and see 10 "Channels" each being a different Genre perhaps:
Horror
Sci-Fi
Comedy
etc.

Then inside of each Channel are as many "Playlists" as we want, in this case, a playlist could be a tv series, so in the Sci-Fi Channel for example there might be 2 series "playlists", for example:
Battlestar Galactica
Lost in Space

And there could be as many series (playlists) as we want, and as many episodes in each playlist as we wanted... so long as it was under 10 hours per "channel", and anything over that would be $4 per hour (per month).

It's critical that I understand this one concept 100% before purchasing, so please make sure you're understanding me and let me know if I've got it 100% or if there is anything wrong with my logic? The above use case is what I'd be trying to achieve.

A: Hello -
Perhaps this glossary might help with understanding our vocabulary: http://help.odeum.io/en/articles/4521032-the-odeum-glossary
Your example is not accurate with how Odeum works. A subscriber with one subscription would not have access to multiple channels. The would only access one channel and the playlists and videos inside it.
If you launched 10 channels, they would each operate independently, each having their own website and set of apps.
I hope this helped.

But can there be categories inside single channel, for example Yoga, breathing exercises, dance workout and so on or will there be problem with such categorization. Then Yoga can have separate playlists: standing yoga, sitting yoga and so on.

Is this correct?

Founder

Our "Playlist" structure is what you are talking about and it is technically a single-level container of videos.

We do have a feature to allow "filtering" of the content inside one playlist, based on the tags that you can apply to the videos themselves. Here is an example of this in practice:

https://tv.positively.com/channels(channel:4deWdMee)

Notice the "Filter by" dropdown menu that allows you to filter down to just a sub-topic inside the "Dog Training" playlist (fyi... Positively TV calls their playlists "Series")

So to be clear you cannot offer us and our subscribers anything like the Hulu experience.

Correct?

1. So what you are saying it that there is no way to give our subscribers a Hulu like experience... that it's essentially just a bucket of videos that can be filtered?

That it's not possible to have a folder-like structure like the below:

Sci-Fi
--Battlestar Galactica
----BSG Season 1
------Episode 1
------Episode 2
----BSG Season 2
------Episode 1
------Episode 2
--Heroes
----Heroes Season 1
------Episode 1
------Episode 2
----Heroes Season 2
------Episode 1
------Episode 2
COMEDY
--Seinfeld
----Seinfeld Season 1
------Episode 1
------Episode 2
----Seinfeld Season 2
------Episode 1
------Episode 2
--How I Met Your Mother
----HIMYM Season 1
------Episode 1
------Episode 2
----HIMYM Season 2
------Episode 1
------Episode 2

If the above it not possible, then your initial promise of starting your own Hulu like streaming service is DEEPLY flawed... I was excited and hoping it would be like a white label version of the Emby app.

Please let me know if the above is possible.
