ODIO.AI: Text to Voice Generator Tool (Voiceover) Reviews

Like many others, I purchased an unlimited package, only to discover one day that it was downgraded without any notice whatsoever. Emails to ODIO remain unapologetic and seem to blame the user for taking advantage of the "unlimited" aspect of the package. They call it "abuse" but if that's the case then what EXACTLY does "unlimited" mean?

Regardless, I pointed out to them that my usage of their platform was minimal at best and I would like the package I purchased restored. They again sent me some ChatGPT generated reply.

I purchased the unlimited and vocal changes like sad, mad, excited, etc. Not I have 100k words and no vocal changes, just bland voices without emotion. It was great in the beginning, but now I have been downgraded without a refund. This sucks. If I could get my money back I would with a heartbeat.
They went against what was purchased and now I have an app I can't use!!!!!
Don't purchase this gig unless they live up to the purchase. If there were negative tacos I would give it to them.

Looks like it was a scam after all. I had my doubts about this app from the start—something just didn’t feel right. It did function for a while, but there was nothing special about it since I found the exact same voices elsewhere for much cheaper or even free. Now that it’s proven to be a scam, everything makes sense, confirming my initial skepticism. Lesson learned—never again.

I feel deeply disappointed and deceived by the Odio app. When I initially purchased the lifetime deal through AppSumo, Odio promised unlimited usage—a commitment that was clearly stated at the time of purchase. However, they have now arbitrarily changed their terms, reducing the usage limit to 100,000 characters, without any prior notice or explanation.

This abrupt and unilateral change is not only unethical but also shows a complete disregard for their customers. To make matters worse, they have provided no compensation or refund for this downgrade in service. This feels like a blatant bait-and-switch tactic, and it’s incredibly frustrating for those of us who trusted their promises.

SPREAD this SCAMMER attitude on the internet to broke they reputation and broke they business.

This crook is the reason AppSumo has to have skin in the game.
This vendor sold something that was unlimited on the highest plan offered and made it 5X less than the cheapest level offered and we have no recourse.
I never used yet and I'm just back to do do something with it months later and it was completely unusable due to the the low limit on characters.

It's hardly okey if they limit the credits to keep run the business but make the UNUSED credits ROLL OVER to next months so if you not an heavy user you can collect reliable credits.
