This app is useless to me

The voice library is all Google's voices.

Defunct tool. Appsumo giving me the "too bad so sad" response.

I was excited when this tool first launched. It was keeping pace with current trends, and then it stopped innovating, and it also reduced Appsumo limitations.

Really not sure why any vendor would reduce our usage, then they don't face consequences, and we're left holding the bag. It puts a bad taste in our mouths, and we're now twice shy in investing early in tools (hurting Appsumo's bottom line if we're not spending).

There's inequity in this relationship.

We buyers get consequences when we ask for full refunds. We're no longer allowed to purchase the tool again.

The refund period on defunct tools is too short, especially when we're not notified by the vendor or Appsumo. We're instead having to visit the PDP to see we have a right to ask for a refund, and then it's a short refund period.

We're not on Appsumo every day. We're busy running our businesses. The burden should not be on us to check in on the functionality of our investments. Appsumo and vendors should give us ample time and communication.

Appsumo's We've Got Your Back Guarantee should extend further back in time than it does. Appsumo has raised its price a lot recently and continues to increase prices over time on the same product. It's now in the "maximize revenue" stage. Yet, there's not enough assurance to us that we're making a solid investment.

The one-month refund period on new purchases is way too short.

Roadmaps should be required.

Monthly email updates by the vendor should be required and also posted on the PDP.

Tools hide their limitations, not being upfront in the PDP. Appsumo video promos perpetuate this.
We have to spend hours in the tool to realize their dirty little secrets, then ask for clarity in the questions section, hoping that the vendor will own up, but they limit their responses to what you only uncover and no more.

There's too much interest in making a buck, and not enough interest in helping buyer/investors make a sound decision.

APPSUMO DENIED MY REQUEST FOR A REFUND TODAY, saying it's passed the 5/7/25 refund date.

BAIT AND SWITCH

Like many others, I purchased an unlimited package, only to discover one day that it was downgraded without any notice whatsoever. Emails to ODIO remain unapologetic and seem to blame the user for taking advantage of the "unlimited" aspect of the package. They call it "abuse" but if that's the case then what EXACTLY does "unlimited" mean?

Regardless, I pointed out to them that my usage of their platform was minimal at best and I would like the package I purchased restored. They again sent me some ChatGPT generated reply.

I then reached out to AppSumo who replied with the following:

Anna with AppSumo Support here checking in on your Odio.ai purchase.

As you mentioned, Odio.ai recently announced feature reductions for Sumo-lings. Because of these changes to your plan, we’ve escalated this to our Legal team who are working with Odio.ai in hopes that the original limits can be restored.

While the tool is still operational and available for use, we understand that utilizing it without access to the feature limits you purchased could hinder your business. In this case, this purchase is a self listing deal not covered under our refund policy or the We Got Your Back Guarantee, but we want to do what’s right for our customers.

We’re happy to offer you the option to receive a 100% refund for your Odio.ai purchase in the form of AppSumo credits. If accepted, these credits will be available immediately and never expire.

Please note that if and when you receive a refund, your Odio.ai license will be revoked, so be sure to download any needed data from the tool first.

If you’d like to take advantage of this offer, please write back to confirm you’ve downloaded any needed data and would like to receive a credit refund by April 30th, 2025, and we’ll get it processed for you.

They downgraded me even though I paid for an unlimited deal without notification or refund

I purchased the unlimited and vocal changes like sad, mad, excited, etc. Not I have 100k words and no vocal changes, just bland voices without emotion. It was great in the beginning, but now I have been downgraded without a refund. This sucks. If I could get my money back I would with a heartbeat.
They went against what was purchased and now I have an app I can't use!!!!!
Don't purchase this gig unless they live up to the purchase. If there were negative tacos I would give it to them.

Was a bit frustrated but after seeing all the recent reviews I guess it's confirmed

Looks like it was a scam after all. I had my doubts about this app from the start—something just didn’t feel right. It did function for a while, but there was nothing special about it since I found the exact same voices elsewhere for much cheaper or even free. Now that it’s proven to be a scam, everything makes sense, confirming my initial skepticism. Lesson learned—never again.
