A good deal - shows promise but work still to do
This deal is good value for money. I will say that Omni isn't yet as good as market leaders like Instantly and Smartlead...however both of those are around $100/month for plans less generous than the Tier 2 plan here. So it's a great buy if you're on a budget.
The positives - it was easy to connect my google emails and they seem to be warming well and have solid deliverability. I've only had one disconnect but that's part of the game these days and happens on every cold email platform.
Setting up a campaign was easy. I dabbled with the AI copy feature but in the end it I found it a good source for ideas rather than producing a polished cold email. A nice-to-have, but not the main selling point.
I've been getting replies, booking meetings and generating new revenue. So it does work.
The negatives - when I first started my campaign the replies weren't registering in the analytics or the Omnibox (universal inbox). I contacted support and they worked promptly to address the issue.
The replies do register now but on average it takes a few hours for them to show up in the analytics. This is a killer if you're operating dozens of inboxes and you want to answer positive replies quickly. You have to trawl through all of your inboxes manually - or wait and potentially miss those red hot leads.
In my opinion, speeding up this process should be the number one priority for the dev team. If slow replies cost me one deal, I'd have been better of spending the extra money for one of Omni's competitors.
The AppSumo deal itself is a bit confusing. I bought tier 3 so I have 2 business seats. But there is no mention of "Business Seats" that I can see in my account. Nor is there any mention of "Avatars". And to be honest, I can't see anything stopping me from sending cold emails from different names and businesses within the one account I have. So I'm not really sure why I paid extra for tier 3?
Overall a good value deal and a decent product that just has a few important kinks to iron out.
