Great tool!

Not quite sure what the first complaint is about for the reviews. The tool needs some more work with the AI understanding SOME words correctly, but overall, I think it's good and support is VERY helpful. If someone is speaking clearly, the tool does good. I'm quite happy with it.

Not Very good at all

On reading the sales blurb and other information my hopes were raised in that here might be a piece of software that would be easy to use and - with AI technology - be amazingly accurate. The hope was that this software would save me a huge amount of time and effort.

Sadly, this was not what I found.

Having used the program here are few things I to take note of...

You need to have the playback volume quite high. If you don't then the transcription process just stops.

Having the volume up also seems to help with the accuracy of transcription.

However, 'accuracy' is where the problems really begin and end.

This software is not very accurate at all.

I thought perhaps it might be the quality of the recorded file I was using so - to try and be fair - made a little trial/comparison using the audio from a 25 minute video that I wanted to transcribe.

One-Transcriber missed a lot of the words completely and those it did pick up were less than 70% accurate. And of course I had to wait the full 25 minutes while the video played through.
On the other hand, the other software (Also on Appsumo) sailed through the transcription in less than a 3 minutes missing nothing and with about 95% accuracy.

That in essence means that you are going to have to spend a lot of time going through and correcting the output from One-Transcription.

OK, so One-Transcription is billed as being for live transcription. But think about it for a moment... As I was transcribing a recording, I was able to take my time and adjust the sound volume and so on to optimise the results. Would any of us have the time to do that while on a live call?

Probably not.

Giving what is in essence a bad review is not something that I enjoy doing, but I can't recommend One-Transcriber at all.

As mentioned, there other transcription solutions out there that really do work well - and frankly a lot quicker than One-Transcriber especially if you are transcribing files you have on your computer.

I always record my live sessions and frankly it would take less time to run a recording of a call/ webinar though better software compared with using One-Transcriber to do a poor job of transcribing live and then having to listen again to the same conversation to correct all the mistakes One-Transcriber made.

Frankly, I can't recommend this software at all however, Appsumo does offer a 60 day refund if you are not satisfied. So please do try One-Transcriber. You never know your experience might be better then mine (I really hope so) - and if it is be sure to leave a more positive review.

Thanks for your detailed review and for having used and tried One Transcriber.
Here the feedbacks to your comments, hoping to clarify the issues and to help in getting the most out of One Transcriber.

1) Speakers Volume & Transcription Accuracy
In general, One Transcriber is independent of the volume of the Output Speakers used to play the audio to transcribe, since it captures directly the...
