After seeing multiple 1 star reviews, I felt compelled to write this.
This product almost received a one star review from me as well. The name can be deceiving as it might not take one take. It does however save a lot of time creating Course Style Captions, and drastically improves audio of most videos.
This is not a social media video editor. Instead think of it as a video course creator.
Here's what I realized after multiple days testing out the platform:
- DO NOT PURCHASE this, if you think you will not have to edit or need to translate. This product is fairly new and seems to still be in the works.
- You need to manually setup your onetake to your liking (You can choose captions on/off, you can turn presentation mode off, you can select to only show text, you can turn off Sound Removal) This must edited in user profile settings, which is confusing to start.
- The AI doesn't do sound removal 100% and make it look natural. If you remove the blanks and filler yourself, you will be able to upload and the software will capture the video much cleaner. (You must turn off auto detect silences. Recommend leaving on Audio Enhancements and background noise removal.)
Sebastien Night used One Take to create his own course. The course itself is worth the value in my opinion. It also opened my eyes to how this product is truly meant to be used.
