Q: Community Rooms

Is there a limitation on the amount of community rooms?

Each course would need at least one room. I see there are free, invite-only, and paid levels. So maybe each course would have a paid upgrade for additional support, etc.

I've watched the knowledge-base video titled: Setting Up a Community for Your Course Platform

In my trial account, I can only create 1 room which is insufficient for our needs. I noticed on the sales page, that some of your monthly plans only allow for 1 room or 3 rooms. Also, I see that community history is also only available for a limited time. Is there a limit on appsumo plans?

I'm just curious what limitations I need to be aware of before I invest in your software and work on transferring my courses and community to your platform.

A: Hello Richy,

Thank you for writing in.

Yes, for our plans, there are limits:

BASIC - 1 room, 20 active users, and 3 months of community history.
PRO - 3 rooms, 100 active users, and 1 year community history.
UNLIMITED - unlimited access to everything.

The AppSumo deal uses the same limits as the PRO plan, so regardless of the number of codes you purchase, you will only be able to create 3 rooms, have 100 active users (while the rest will be passive), and have a 1-year community history.

Kind regards,

Can you clarify how you define active users? Is that 100 active users at one time, or 100 users who can post?

We have 500 alumni students who should have access to the general community. Then we will have new students who will have access to a room for additional support.

Hello Richy,

By active users, I mean community members who can post or make comments in the community and rooms. If you have a free community, only the first 100 users to make posts or comments will be the active users, while the rest will only be able to read and react to messages. If you ban one of the active users, the first passive user to make a comment will replace them.
