Q: Feature enquiry — forced/unskippable video watching in lessons
I’m in the process of building a course on OnlineCourseHost.com and I’d like to know if the platform supports making lesson videos mandatory to watch (i.e., cannot be skipped ahead) before the student can progress to the next lesson.
Specifically:
Can I configure a video lesson so the student must watch X% (or the full video) before the “Next” or “Continue” button becomes active?
If yes — what options exist (percentage threshold, minimum time, disable fast-forward/scrubbing, etc)?
Does this apply even if the video is embedded from an external host (YouTube/Vimeo) or must the video be uploaded natively to the platform for this to work?
Are there any known limitations or workarounds (e.g., certain video hosting or browser restrictions) I should be aware of?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for writing in.
Unfortunately, there is no setting on the platform that allows you to mandate the number of minutes your students have to watch before they can move to the next lesson.
This applies to both uploaded videos and embedded videos from external platforms.
This is why we recommend that course creators keep their videos short or divide them into digestible bits, so that students won't get bored while watching them and can actually finish them.
