Q: What exactly is a "active" community member? How do you distinguish between them. Are there other limits?

A: An active community member is someone who can post, comment, or engage in discussions within your course community. While your community can have unlimited members, only 100 users can be active at the same time. These are the users who have full participation rights such as posting and commenting.

The rest of your members can still access the community, read posts, and react with emojis or likes, but they won’t be able to actively participate in discussions until a spot opens up.

How does a spot open up. Am I active for a fixed amount of time or just when posting or reading or what?

Hi Ade,

A spot opens up when you remove an active member from your community, or if a member loses access to a paid community by unsubscribing. I hope this clarifies things. 😉

So basically you are limited to a community of 100 people unless you upgrade to a monthly plan?

Yes, please. The community feature allows for up to 100 active members. To accommodate more members actively participating in discussions, you need to upgrade to the Unlimited plan. The best part is that there is a 45% discount available for the Unlimited plan, which you can always take advantage of.
