Painful video upload times
I want to like this tool as much as I need it but right off the bat:
1. The redemption process was a bit bumpy: clicking the redeeming button takes you to a sign-in page instead of a sign-up page.
2. Video loading time is awful: I have a fast internet connection, but I've been waiting for my video (983 MB) to upload for over 25 min now and still going. So I thought I would be writing this review during that time. I have only 12 videos about this same size to upload. Can't imagine the pain that will be, and I am starting to look for alternative course platforms to make my life easier.
3. More customization options of the landing page (background colors, fonts, header menu, etc.), would make such a difference, even a few template options.
4. Making elements optional in the course settings would also be better: for example, having a course subtitle and key points for the course are mandatory, even though the course description, course content, etc. is already displayed.
5. Can't change the thumbnails for individual lessons. If the lesson has video, it automatically takes the image of the video.
6. No ability to add video links when we choose the video option for lesson content.
Now everything is not just bad, for example, multilingual landing page, integrations to stripe and paypal, cname (haven't tried that yet)....
So these are my first sentiments using this tool and I really wished it was different. As I am in need of setting something up fast, I might need to refund this, and I hate to do that.

May 9, 2024Thank you for the feedback, we plan on adding those features. Regarding video upload speed, we just took measures this week. We have this week upgraded our Google Cloud infrastructure, and video processing is now quite faster. Now for every ongoing upload you do , you get a dedicated processor with 2 CPUs and 8GB of RAM.
These processing resources are reserved for your upload only, and aren't shared with other users.
For example, now I just made a test, and uploaded a large 486 MB, 36-minute long video.
Upload plus processing took a total of 12 minutes to process everything included, which is quite fast for such a large video, on platforms like YouTube it's not that much better.
I think what could have happened is that you uploaded a couple of days ago, when this infrastructure upgrade was not live yet.
Also, there was when you uploaded no processing progress indicator, which contributed to the impression of not knowing when the processing would end, and that feels slow from a user perspective.
This week we are deploying a processing progress indicator, to track the processing percentage progress, and not just the initial upload progress.
Please tell me, what is the size of your video, and the length?
If you still experience slowness with the new infrastructure, can you send to pour helpdesk [email protected] a link to a Google Drive with your files, we would like to further investigate what is going on.
