Q: Video Support, Privacy & Quota

Hi!

1. I saw in earlier Q&A’s that you don’t support video. Is that still the case now? If its currently not supported, is it planned to be supported? Or is it a ‘maybe’?

2. Also, are the js tags for each placement fully unique? Like if a tag from the same account is used on site A and B, there won’t be an account id or workspace URL in the tag associating them together.

3. For the quota, a ‘visitor’ is a unique, is that right? So the same person refreshing a page 100 times would not count as 100 visitors, but 1. Is that right?

4. Also, if a pop is not displayed (say, the visitor is excluded from being shown the pop - but the js tag is on the page). Like if a path or geo is excluded via Onvocado settings - does that count as a visitor?

A: Hi! Thanks for the questions. Here are the details:

1. Video Support
There is no native video content item yet, however it is on our roadmap and planned.

2. JS Tag Uniqueness / Privacy
The JS tag is unique for each account. Each campaign also has its own unique campaign ID. There is no cross-site linking or confusion when using the same account on more than one website.

3. Quota (Visitors)
A "visitor" is counted each time the Onvocado script loads. If the same person visits or refreshes 100 times, that counts as 100 visitors in the quota.

4. If a Popup Is Not Displayed
Even if the popup is not shown (due to path rules, geo filters, or frequency rules), the visit is still counted because the script has loaded.

Note on Limits:
The visitor limits are quite generous for the plans. In practice, we rarely see repeated visits from the same user reach a level where it has any meaningful impact on the quota.
