Tired of overcomplicated service business tools? Try this - it's great.
I've tried, and been disappointed by, SO MANY different tools for selling services. Do you ever notice that almost every service-selling platform on AppSumo (and the web in general) is like a bunch of stoned service-selling entrepreneurs got together and were like "hey man, we should build an app to do this.. And it should do this" *puff puff* "and this!!!" *puff puff* "oh man it should do this too" *puff* "yeah and it should do all these things as well!"
But in the end, you end up with an incredibly bloated tool that will make you weep with frustration while you try to unravel the mysteries of the universe when all you want to do is just MAKE IT SELL STUFF?
Well... you're not alone.. and now there's an option: Oode is all the things you need, all in one box, and not much else.
Does it need some refinement? Sure! I just emailed support about how I can't do anything with an invoice after making it. Do I let that bother me? Nope.
Why? Because within 5 minutes of setting up with Oode, I have a website on my domain, I have services listed, I have the ability to book things, I have integration with calendars, stripe, and google meet.
With most of the applications out there, it takes me 5 minutes to figure out where to put my damn business name. Then another 5 minutes to stop weeping uncontrollably before moving on to the next 'it should be simple' thing on my list.
Oode just seems to do what it says on the packet and does it well. I could EASILY see it maturing into a 'Shopify for service businesses'. This is just good, clean, and useful. I'm a fan.
What could it use?
- Obviously, the ability to edit / change / send invoices after creation would be nice.
- An option for hourly billing on a product, whereas right now I can't say 1.67 hours, I have to do Qty 1, and adjust the price, and add a note.
- A Gmail integration to link email with my customers, but that's really not necessary.
- The iOS app to be finished so I can play with that, too. :)
Overall, seventeen tacos out of 5. Not many deals have been this much fun out of the box.
