Need a bit more professionalism
Had a bad onboarding experience. The tool itself is ok... but the story of onboarding is interesting... Got a download link in email after purchase. But it was a 404 not found. I was too lazy to contact their support, so just waited a few days (over the weekend). Apparently, the link worked, and I downloaded the mac app. The app requires a login to their site auth.orcasheets.ai, however this time - the SSL had expired 2 days ago. Anyway, crossed my fingers, and went ahead the warning and got the tool working finally.
The chat is a bit basic and creates a new csv file based on your queries... I was hoping it would directly modify my excel sheet and create the pivot there which i can download and use further. Its not exactly what I was looking for... so not gonna keep it.

Jun 22, 2026Hi Joey, thank you for taking the time to write this, and for pushing through a setup that clearly tested your patience. You're right on every count. The 404 on the download link and the expired certificate on our auth domain were both on us, and both are now fixed. That is not the first impression we want anyone to have.
On the CSV behaviour: OrcaSheets writes each query to its own file by design, so your source data stays untouched and every result is reproducible. Those result sheets are downloadable, there is a button to export each one, and your note tells us it isn't prominent enough, so a more visible download button is going on our task list. What you wanted, a pivot built and editable in place, is a fair expectation, and there is a way to get close to that inside the tool. I've reached out by email, and we'd be glad to walk you through it.
No pressure either way on the licence. Whichever way you go, I'd like to understand what you were hoping the tool would do. That kind of feedback shapes what we build next.
