I originally got Outranking back when they had a private launch. I had the time to see the product evolve over the last few months. I liked it back then, and I like it now, but things have changed quite a bit since then so please read on.

Outranking was originally a Frase-like SEO tool for document/content briefs. It performs the same tasks with one difference, it came with the "SEO addon" that Frase charges monthly for. All the same SERP data included in Outranking. It also had a component for AI assisted writing (which Frase later on added to their own addon as well, some weeks after Outranking launched). The character limits you see now with these plans are for that AI assisted writing purporse.

THEN things changed drastically when Outranking team came out with their Version 5 with a new tech they called Concepts. This is an awesome new tech that basically helps the AI write relevant, fact based content using the SERP results. Where in other AI writers, GPT3 can give you some made up stuff we need to fact check later, this tech allows us to trust the content output much more. BUT here comes the big BUT, this feature requires a lot of character credits in the backend to work. What that means to us as users is that our original character limits are going to be drained VERY quickly. Our deal terms just was not designed for this new tech.

While we can opt to use Outranking as it was before, the Concepts feature is just too good not to use. You WILL be tempted to use this, so your credits WILL be drained. The lower plans won't be sustainable for long under Concepts. You will eventually need to get extra character credits, if you intend to write a lot.

Seeing is believing, I suggest you try the Concepts feature out and see for yourself what it does. It is very powerful. But don't expect these credits to last too long. Again, give it a try.
