Hours Saved on Research!
If you’re anything like me, you spend 70-80% of the time doing research for articles and blog posts you’re trying to write. That means figuring out the best headings to use to build an outline, considering related keywords, and listing out facts and other important key points to cover. With other similar tools like Frase, this means sitting there and reading through all the data yourself and figuring things out in a very cumbersome and time consuming way.
It’s just not Frase, it’s all other tools that serve a similar purpose. I never understood why nobody seemed to be coming out with a way to address this part of the process when I think people focused on creating high value posts spend the most time on the research aspect of it, knowing that once you have a very solid outline, writing to fill out the article is very easy. Then finally, Outranking stepped it up with its update last week to roll out Concepts to address this part of creating content! They’ve implemented a way to use AI to help save time on researching for your article rather than only implementing AI to help write. Outranking can do the latter as well, but what makes it truly special now is Concepts. This will have the AI read through the 20 SERP results for your topic and give you “concepts”, which can be thought of as important facts or key points related to the section header you’re generating concepts for. This helps AI to be used where it can fetch actual fact based data rather than making up things out of thin air like AI tends to do in other AI writing tools.
So if you’re wondering why the character limit is low because X, Y, Z AI writers offered unlimited characters for a low cost - that’s because those are extremely basic implementations of using AI. Outranking is doing something that’s different, innovative, and solves the real pain point of creating great content - and for that, they consume a lot of AI characters than other tools, which means the cost they incur from AI API use is higher than simple AI writing tools.
Is the 1 code deal with the 10K characters enough to use Outranking to the fullest? Nope. I’m sorry, it’s not. But if you don’t mind not using Concepts, and just need a tool that will help with content by bringing in SERP results for you to browse and give you guidance on SEO, then Outranking can be used even with 1 code. However, if you want to utilize Concepts, I definitely recommend getting at least Tier 3. By not using AI to do everything for you, you can still ration out your AI characters even while using Concepts to get research done for multiple articles. I skipped using AI to generate my writing and titles for me and saved my limits for just using concepts on sections I felt I needed it for, and that has allowed me to outline and research 5 articles with less than 50K AI characters used. If you’d like to make good use of the Concepts feature, I definitely recommend stacking to the max or getting a. Monthly add-on.
