Exciting News: Deep Research Reports Are Here

You told us you needed deeper insights from your research, not just searching for research-backed answers, extracting data and chatting with papers. Today, I'm thrilled to introduce Deep Research Reports - our answer to that challenge.

This new feature lets you:

• Start with an initial prompt and iterate to fine-tune your research question.

• Helps scan multiple variants of your research questions to expand the search comprehensively

• Scan the papers and select the most relevant ones, extract insights and provide a comprehensive report

These reports can be readily downloaded along with in-text citations and References for further use.

We're thrilled to announce that Paperguide will be returning to AppSumo on April 7th! Your incredible feedback, suggestions, and bug reports have been invaluable, allowing us to fix bugs, re-prioritise and make great progress.

Over the past three months, we've made significant strides:

• Global Expansion: Launching our website in 7 additional languages with complete localization

• Enhanced Search and Literature Review: Improved our search and querying mechanisms to provide more precise information.

• Better Accuracy - AI generations come with accurate citations, detailing the exact source from which text is extracted, including PDFs, ensuring improved accuracy and fewer hallucinations.

• Full Document Generation in Writer: Implemented fully automated report and article generation that leverages both scientific papers and your own knowledge base

• Grammar Checking: Added comprehensive grammar checking capabilities to enhance your writing

Here’s what’s new and what’s coming:

1. No Hard Stops on AI Generations 🚦

When you exceed your AI generation limits, instead of halting completely, you’ll be switched to base models. This ensures you can continue using the platform seamlessly without interruptions.

2. Bug Fixes & Architecture Improvements 🛠️

Over the last few weeks, we’ve fixed numerous bugs, implemented improvements, and upgraded our architecture. While some of these changes may not be immediately visible on the front end, they’re crucial in enabling us to launch exciting new features faster.

3. Upcoming Features 🌐

• Language Support: By the end of next week, the interface will support the following languages English (US and UK), German, French, Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Portuguese (EU and BR), Italian
• Enhanced Filters in AI Search and Literature Review : Improved filters and a more powerful search algorithm are expected to roll out in two weeks.
• Writer Enhancements: We’re working on multiple updates to make the writer tool even more intuitive and efficient including option to write only based on your sources, improve citations, sources view within the writer etc.
