Thanks for your question. While we initially didn't have any plans for Appsumo, we were invited by Appsumo team as part of AI week and thought it would be useful for the users who had enquired in the past for it. As it also coincided with our Paperguide 2.0 revamp plans where we launched agentic versions of our chatwithpdf, literature review and AI search features with more coming up, we thought it would be a good time to evaluate the user stickiness after these features are released and thought appsumo campaign would help us expedite the validation.

I believe the landscape is just building out with fairly decent number of competitors growing and our positioning as a comprehensive research workspace helps us standout. While there is always the possibility of bigger players coming in, i guess the space will have enough for everyone at least for next 4-5 years particularly from B2C /small team use cases which the big players may not be optimizing for. We are currently focused on building workflows and team features in the medium term so that the users can get more value from the platform and don't have to rely on multiple tools or switch between platforms. We believe the appsumo community we have can help us continue to build our roadmap which is a win-win for both. We are a bootstrapped and sustainable startup and wish to remain independent although situations may change leading to considering other options.
