Thanks for your question.
To compare broadly, Paperguide and Afforai have some similar features for research and reference management but where Paperguide stands out is in the depth of AI research support it provides through its Literature Review and Data Extraction features. With literature review feature, users can find relevant research papers with just a simple prompt and can compare multiple papers along 50 different dimensions to evaluate them. With data extraction feature, users can extract and compare 100 documents from their reference manager in one go across 50 different parameters (which can be based on their own definitions or using default options). And there is no limit for data extractions with paperguide LTD deals.
Paperguide reference manager and AfforAI reference manager has more or less same features.
Apart from that, Paperguide also has AI writing assistant (with in-built automatic citations and referencing, plagiarism checks and writing style improvements) that makes it an end-to-end AI research copilot for users to carry out their research and writing fully.
One feature that Afforai has compared to Paperguide is the Google search feature. And while Afforai gives BYOK (Bring your own key) feature, we see that different models are good at different AI use cases and the strength of these models change as they evolve and hence we wanted to abstract it from users to avoid the challenge of managing the selection of models. Having said that, if we see that more users are requesting for BYOK, we would take it up in our roadmap
