Nifty Swiss knife that is keenly sharp
This is a very versatile tool that helps with research, brainstorming and sketching out ideas. I liked that the UI/UK is very minimal and you have a focused dashboard to begin with. I went into the literature review tab and typed the query "Find the latest papers on AI in education" and it produced a very concise summary of the papers found, along with the references and below that a table-styled structure with details of the paper, access, and three top insights in bullet point formt.
For me, this alone is worth a huge deal. It has helped me narrow down my focus. However, to double check I typed the same query into Google and my AI summary there generated was:
"To find the latest papers on AI in education, I recommend exploring academic databases and online repositories. Some popular options include:
arXiv: A repository of electronic preprints (formerly known as e-Print) covering fields such as computer science, physics, mathematics, and related disciplines.
ResearchGate: A social networking platform for scientists and researchers to share papers, collaborate, and discover new research.
Semantic Scholar: A free, open-access academic search engine that provides summaries and recommendations of relevant papers.
ACM Digital Library: A collection of papers and publications from the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in the field of computer science and related areas."
So clearly, this is already proving valuable. Then i stumble upon various column types on the right and selecting those types, such as summary, findings, outcomes, and a dozen others adds those columns to the main page on your dashboard and you can export it seamlessly. This is next level stuff.
So it's clear that this is a keeper. Now, let me mention some things I would like to see to make it more functional for me:
1) Is there a way to copy the generated summary? Currentkly there is no direct copy button and when I select the text > copy + paste, the entire thing is scrambled.
2) While adding a new custom column, can we get the AI to analyse the paper directly rather than merely deciphering it? What I mean is, i created a new custom column called "Shortcomings" and gave instructions to find shortcomings with the research study. It did come up with some shortcomings but those were the ones already identified in the study by the authors and the AI merely paraphrasing it. I feel it would be powerful if the AI could critique the original paper and provide new insights.
3) Can we bookmark the papers we find relevant so that it will automatically turn up in our writer, workbook and chat sections? EVen more nuamced would be if we could sort it at a folder level and choose which ones to include when we want to, for example, chat with the AI.
Overall, this is a solid deal as it stands now and is sure to grow in leaps and bounds. Thank you for launching here!

Nov 4, 2024Hi, thanks a lot for the detailed review and really appreciate your feedback. please find my comments on each one of them on detail.
1) Yes, we are planning to add more and more databases starting with Pubmed and arXiv.
2) We are revamping the summary section altogether. and we will soon give an option to copy.
3) There are some limitations as of now like these, we are tying to figure our how do we overcome this at scale.
4) This is already available. You can simply add them to my-references, you can organise them in folders and tags. If relevant papers or documents are available, writer first take your own knowledge base as priority, You can also see all in them with in writer itself without navigating.
Thanks a lot once again for the feedback.
Regards,
