Not quite what I need...
For context, I only wanted this product for medical-related research and writing. I found the UI to be very unintuitive compared to comparable products like Consensus and SciSpace. I also found the results to be pretty sparse. As for the AI writer, I guess I misunderstood how it worked. I thought I could choose several research papers and then prompt the app to write a paper for me...not the case (or at least I couldn't figure out how to do it). Nice idea but other apps do it better. Gonna have to get a refund. 2 Tacos for effort....

Dec 27, 2024Hi. Thanks for your review and feedback. Yes we are improving the response quality for our AI Search and Literature review features which are in Beta right now. You should see further improved responses by mid January. Regarding AI writer, currently we do have features for AI to write based on 3 modes. 1. Using papers/pdfs from your own reference manager 2. Using public research database sources and 3. Using a combination of both. This option is available in the document settings. Please do let us know over our support chat or email at hello@paperguide.ai if you not able get the right response even after selecting My references as your AI Knowledge source for the writer. We are currently trying to further improve it to give users the option to select a specific set of documents within reference manager as well. While we respect your decision for opting for refund, I would request you to check out the product one last time in January (if you still have time in the 60 day refund window) before deciding. If you still find it not meeting the expectations still, you can opt for refund. Either way, thanks for trusting us and trying the product and sharing your feedback.
