Q: Pre-purchase: Stripe ownership, subscriber portal & UK GDPR/DPA

A few things before I buy.

Do subscriptions run on my own connected Stripe account or a PayFunnels merchant setup? If PayFunnels shuts down, would my recurring charges keep running in my Stripe, or stop with the platform?

Can subscribers self-serve in the customer portal... log in, update their card, and cancel themselves, without me doing it manually?

I'm UK-based, selling to UK and EU customers as well as International. Do you offer a Data Processing Agreement, and is it on the AppSumo lifetime plan or a higher tier? Where is customer data stored, US or EU? And do you have a privacy policy and a process for data deletion / subject access requests?

Subscriptions are set up using Payfunnels payment links and operate through your own Stripe account. Your subscription will continue in your Stripe account, even if Payfunnels ceases operations.

Can subscribers self-serve in the customer portal... log in, update their card, and cancel themselves, without me doing it manually?
Yes, you can give your customer access to the customer portal to update their card and other information. The option to allow customers to cancel their subscription is optional.

Could you please provide more details about the Data Processing Agreement and let me know what specific information or provisions you are looking for?

Customer data is hosted in the United States, and PayFunnels has a privacy policy in place. Payment card information is processed and stored by Stripe, not on PayFunnels' own servers. If customers wish to delete their data, they can send us an email request to initiate the deletion.

Thanks Shahir, that's clear on Stripe and the portal, exactly what I needed.
On the DPA, the specifics: as a UK controller using PayFunnels as a processor, I need a signed Article 28 Data Processing Agreement. Is that available on the AppSumo lifetime plan?
And since data is US-hosted I need a lawful transfer mechanism for UK/EU personal data. Are you certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US?
