I used Pcloud for a few years on the free version. I was looking forward to a good deal on it and decided to take the AppSumo deal + Black Friday deal together. For me, as a video content creator who films at very high resolutions, sometimes it is important to be able to save my footage and finished projects. Also, PCloud is helping my computer run faster since I dumped all the unnecessary stuff into the cloud.
I've been a fan of pCloud for some time now, using a free account. When this deal popped up, I just had to grab it! I've created private folders, and folders I share with clients. I even created a "Temp Files" folder so I can easily transfer documents from one device to another. (That iOS app comes in really handy!) I use the service almost every day, and will be able to benefit even more now that I have so much more space to access.
Thanks to the pCloud team for creating such a great tool, and for offering it to us here on AppSumo!
I have been slowly but surely adopting alternatives to Google products, frankly for political reasons. Sometimes I have made some sacrifices. While I still will need to use Google Docs when it comes to storage, pCloud strikes me as not just a passable alternative but superior in several ways. My experience migrating data to pCloud was seamless and all of my testing checks out. Tacos for everyone.
Pcloud has been in business for a while and I nearly bought it a couple of times. But this was a deal I couldn't resist.
When I first looked at it I allready thought the deal was good, but then I wasn't sure how long the company would exist. But now several years later it is still the reliable alternative for Dropbox. And it has some benefits though. You can choose for a EU location so this is great for backups. Pcloud does backups of Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Facebook (block-level sync). And if you have a Wordpress site you can backup directly with WP Vivid Backup and All In One WP Migration.
Pcloud even seems to support WebDAV. So this opens a route to other WP Backup plugins XCloner and Updraft Plus. Should test it out if that works, but it's nice that it is possible.
Note that there are different WebDAV URL's and that you don't have WebDAV access if you have 2FA enabled: pCloud (US)- https://webdav.pcloud.com pCloud (EU) – https://ewebdav.pcloud.com
