Does the API support iterating over data? For example, if I have a database with several records, would I be able to iterate over the records and output the data in a single PDF?
EDIT: I see in the documentation this is possible for tables. How about for other elements? For example, I want to output headings and text, and iterate the data throughout the PDF.
A: Currently, iterating over data is supported for tables. However, for other elements like headings and text, this is not yet available. We are working on adding a new "group" element that will function like a sub-template and allow you to repeat sections of content dynamically throughout the PDF. This will provide more flexibility for non-table data.
Are you referring to the visual editor only, or is it not possible for the HTML templates either? In the documentation I saw support for loops with HTML elements.
You're right, I was talking about the drag and drop editor only. The HTML editor can already do loops. Thanks for asking me to clarify.
Q: Use case for online assessment
Planning to have a website where user can take an online assessment similar to personality test, in html. Can your service convert the html result page automatically for the user to download. Alternatively, can the user take assessment directly from your service and convert it into a beautiful pdf report with radial/various types of graph
A: To do this, you would need to create a template using the HTML editor. You can add various elements and variables to the template like graphs, tables, etc.
Here is how you can add dynamic charts into the template: https://pdf-api.io/en/docs/editors/html-template-editor#charts-using-chartjs
1 - only 1 user? Was going to buy your tier2, but only one user is very low for 10 000 docs, isn't it? Any chance to allow for more users when the team feature will be available (currently in the "coming soon" state in your pricing page)
2 - esignature. It seems that esignature is on the roadmap. Could you please confirm?
3 - will the 2 features above available for tier2 when available ?
4 - I currently use Documentero, great product too but I'd prefer yours (I'm from France and love Switzerland 🇨🇭). One of the very useful feature of Documentero is that you can create templates with "rules" or let's say, conditional variable : if this variable is empty don't display this section, if this variable contains something the display this section. Is it something your product support?
A: 1. Team access is one of our top priorities, and we aim to release this feature by early November. This will allow sharing resources within teams.
2. Yes, eSignature is on our roadmap, but as this is a significant feature, we want to ensure the signature workflow is smooth and compliant with regulations before launching. It’s in active development, but it will take some time to perfect.
Q: Dynamic Images via API
Hey, is it possible to parse an image url via the API to the templates?
So the image will change as per the API request. I hope this can be done in the WYSIWYG editor because I dont know HTML unfortunately.
This is a critical part of my usecase. Thanks!

Oct 22, 2024A: This is currently not possible but we are seriously considering adding this feature in the future. Thank you for your feedback

Q: Make Integration
Hello,
is a make integration (we use it instead Zapier) available or in planning?
