PDF Reader Pro for Mac Reviews

Worked fine for a while but since a few weeks it breaks down on every open ... and with the program my whole macbook Pro (newest) breaks down as well. Terrible. Not a usable software anymore.

I love my PDF Reader Pro. I have been on the hunt for a viable alternative to Adobe. This is it. I haven't felt the need to keep searching since I discovered PDF Reader Pro.

This program doesn't work, it edits nothing, it didn't even recognize the texts of the pdf that I wanted to edit, I tried to convert the pdf that I had to edit to text and it converted it to text but only by name because it couldn't be edited either, it didn't do the conversion but instead He made a copy that he doesn't edit either... the program is very bad, I don't recommend it...

I've used everything except Adobe on my Mac. Wondershare was the best I could find before PDFReaderPro (which really needs a better name, it does more than read). I tried this because Wondershare started having memory leaks and issues with locking up while searching large PDFs, and AppSumo has an awesome return policy.

PDFReaderPro does something no other PDF reader/professional software I've used on Mac has ever done. IT LETS YOU DRAG AND DROP FILES INTO THE PAGE FRAME ON THE LEFT TO INSERT OTHER PDFS! IT ALSO LETS YOU DRAG PAGES FROM ONE PDF TO ANOTHER OPEN PDF!

Every other application on Mac I've used requires you to go to the "Pages" view to insert a file, or extract a page, or reorganize pages. This is THE FIRST application I've used that lets you just manipulate pages, insert, and drag to other documents. It also lets you open in tabs and drag tabs out to become a second app window, just like in your browser. Also a first.

The ONLY two critical comments are: (1) can't double click top bar on window to maximize, which is a habit, and (2) I can't create a new document from my scanner like I could in Wondershare (back to using Preview I guess). There is an "Import from Scanner" feature, but when I try this it doesn't show anything and is a blank window.

Still, it's 5 tacos because the page management is awesome. If those other two issues are addressed, it'd be 6 tacos.
