Q: Interface Change?
Why did you change the interface? I was a fan of previous version with snpshot preview and direkt download from settings-view.

Jul 8, 2026A: Hi,
That's a fair question.
The main reason for the redesign was user feedback. I received quite a few comments that the previous interface felt overwhelming and too complex, especially for new users. Some AppSumo users even requested refunds because they found it difficult to understand where to start and how different features were connected.
The new interface is a simplified version of the previous one with a much clearer workflow. Whether you create a single capture, bulk capture, or scheduled capture, everything now lives inside a project. This makes it much easier to know where to find your screenshots instead of switching between multiple sections.
The update wasn't just a visual redesign either. A lot has changed behind the scenes to lay the foundation for upcoming features. Recent additions like gallery view, bulk ZIP downloads, recapture were made possible because of these backend changes, and there are more features planned that build on this new architecture.
That said, I really appreciate the feedback. If there are specific parts of the old interface that you miss or think worked better, I'd genuinely love to hear them. I'm always looking for ways to improve PeekShot while keeping it simple to use.

The new interface is really bad and a lot of functionality is gone. Bad move

Im ux professional and that was my thaught, too. Really want the old interface back. Now it seems lile a completly different tool.
Thanks for the feedback.
The redesign aligns with PeekShot's long-term vision of becoming a webpage monitoring and archiving tool, not just a screenshot tool. If there are specific parts of the old UI you miss, let me know and I'll be happy to consider bringing them back.

Thank you - after using it feels bit more comfortable.
