The competition in the AI copywriting space is really hot at the moment which is why I've ended up giving Peppertype four stars rather than five.

The content it generates is solid and is as good as most other GPT-3 based copywriting services. As with all of these services, Peppertype can sometimes give some totally duff suggestions from time to time, but on the whole, I think it does a good job particularly on the short-form content. The results I've generated for email subject lines, headers, ad copy, and landing page text have been effective.

What is stopping me from giving this a full five taco review is these two elements:

1. Lack of clarity about long-form versus short-form. If a product is going to give me credits based on long-form usage, I expect the UI to make it really clear to me when I'm using a long-form tool. Peppertype doesn't do this, so I'm using long-form credits when I don't realise it.

2. The long-form workflow isn't coherent. To create long-form content, you have to string multiple content types together (blog ideas > blog outline > blog intro > blog header expander > blog conclusion), which is fine, but the actual process of doing this requires too many tabs and too much switching back and forth. I have no doubt the devs will sort the UX in good time but right now it is a little frustrating.

Overall, I like the product. They have some nice ideas, such as the annotations, and the company behind Peppertype looks to be ambitious.
