Prefer output over other GPT-3 apps I've tried
Unfortunately I've only very recently learned about GPT-3, so I've missed some of the other GPT-3 deals. However, I've compared this to a couple other GPT-3 services including Conversion/Jarvis which is considered to be the best GPT-3 app but has a very high monthly fee.
Compared to the other smaller GPT-3 platform I tried, I prefer the output from Peppertype for several content types. In fact, I'd say the output from Peppertype seems to be a little better than even Jarvis. However, unlike Jarvis and the other service I tried Peppertype is currently missing a long form editor so it is definitely a more efficient workflow on the other services. However, for now I'll take better output over a more efficient workflow as Peppertype will still save me a ton of time. And I believe they plan to release a proper long form editor.
The original deal's long form limits were not high enough for me, especially given Peppertype defines some short form content types as long form, but now that limits have increased I've gone ahead with a Tier 3 purchase. I spent a good amount of time testing with a trial account though earlier which is the basis for this review.
Along with having great output from GPT-3, their interface is quite good aside from missing the longform editor and they have a wide range of useful content types. With the higher limits I'm happy to give Peppertype 5 tacos.
Of course the star here is GPT-3 and there are a ton of GPT-3 services popping up. If you aren't familiar with GPT-3 like I was until recently, I strongly encourage you to check it out if you write any content for websites, social media, books, or any other mediums.
Heck even if you don't now maybe you would want to after trying GPT-3. Even fun just to play around with it. GPT-3 is capable of writing fiction, poems, songs, etc. Although sometimes it can spit out nonsense, a lot of the time it does an amazing job. In my relatively brief experience you'll get the best results from subjects that are discussed heavily on the internet. The more specific you get the less likely you'll get great output. If you ask it to write about something very new or something otherwise hardly anyone has talked about online it won't know what to write.
For me personally I'll be using GPT-3 for:
- Getting help writing blog intros and conclusions as it can sometimes make them sound more interesting than mine
- Ideas for social media posts or videos
- Answering common questions and providing definitions of common terms. Just be aware that you definitely have to fact check the output. A lot of the time it will do well or at least provide a great start / partial answer. But mistakes or things that don't make sense aren't uncommon. But that is the nice thing about GPT-3. It is very fast so you can just request new output until you get one or multiple outputs you like and then take the best parts and fill in the rest as needed.
So excited to get started using GPT-3 and Peppertype!
