Very underwhelming
I am leaving 2/5 tacos, the one taco is just because this company is trying to do something cutting edge, but overall, it's lacking big time. I understand you won't have all the bells and whistles as bigger companies, but if you're asking us to move our lead generation over to Periodix, you need to do something REALLY WELL, and right now, you do very little well.
Problems:
1) No dynamic variables for LinkedIn, just name/company/position etc the basic variables pulled from their profile, this is unacceptable as it will be just a very generic templates = little results.
2) Unable to import prospects into sequences using CSV, forcing me to use their workflow (Sales Nav → extension), but if my data sits elsewhere? I am unable to use it lol
3) Inbox - empty. I expected that would sync with my inbox so I can start using the AI with existing prospects I need to follow up with (the AI in inbox was why I bought this), but I see the inbox empty, so I guess it will work only on new prospects.
4) Just LinkedIn - again, if we are meant to reach out to people, you need to either do LinkedIn really well (dynamic tags, diff. ways to import), OR at least offer multi-channel (so cold emails + LinkedIn). Offering just LinkedIn with these limited features is kinda ridiculous.
To make matters worse, they couldn't even give any specific timeline when eg the dynamic fields will be introduced - so for me a clear sign to refund; I can't invest into a product and be uninformed when critical features will be added. If you have a roadmap I can invest and stay, but now it's all about hope lol!
My overall suggestion would be to focus on one things and do it really well, because right now there are some options but they are all underwhelming, lacking to be actually used in a real campaign with someone who has a working sales playbook

Oct 3, 2024Thanks so much for your detailed feedback, it looks like the review seems to be centered around functionality that we never promised or mentioned as available.
We’re sorry to hear that your expectations didn’t align with the current functionality, as some of the features you were hoping for aren’t part of any tier descriptions.
When building Periodix, our main focus was on creating a solution that operates on autopilot, which is why we prioritized features like AI Response and AI Follow-up. These allow the system to handle objections, book calls, and continue working with leads once they’ve responded. We’ve seen success from users who have given these features a chance.
To address your concerns:
1. Dynamic Variables: Dynamic variables have already been released. You can now personalize your messages more effectively.
2. CSV Import: Currently, you can import contacts using our LinkedIn Extension, as mentioned in the tier details. We recognize that CSV import would be helpful, and it’s something we’ll consider in the future.
3. Inbox Functionality: The inbox is intentionally designed to show only the leads who respond to your outreach through Periodix. Our goal is to reduce noise and help you focus on meaningful interactions generated by Periodix.
4. Just LinkedIn: We started with LinkedIn to focus on doing one channel well. However, we do recognize the value of multi-channel outreach, and email will be added to Periodix in the future.
We understand you’re looking for more clarity on release timelines, and while we can’t always share specifics, you can follow our progress on our public roadmap: https://app.loopedin.io/periodix-public-roadmap, some functionality is kept confidential and is not listed. As a startup, we strategically hold back details on certain features and their ETAs.
Periodix isn’t just a short-term AppSumo launch — we have big plans for the future, and we truly appreciate feedback from real early adopters.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!
