I nearly refunded this app due to a lack of time and also because I thought it wouldn't suit one of my use cases which was interviews, but I decided to challenge it with a quick test.
The test was a probing Behavioral interview with the CEO of a large company for a new role as Commercial Finance Director, this is not a waffle and wing it situation but one that requires deep technical experience backed up with strong factual evidence and with great communication.
The prompt took me 25 minutes and the interview itself was only 30 minutes, but much to my surprise the questions were pretty good, possibly the interviewer was too easily satisfied, or maybe my answers were just awesome!! But normally I would expect at least 2-3 questions probing deeper into the first answer but to be fair I am a detail guy (ok verbose!) so possibly one question was enough. Regardless it was certainly not a waste of time and actually very good as a process.
Outcome: The feedback too was very helpful in the most part, a few things I didnt agree with but 90% plus was both fair and helpful, so Im keeping it - to be fair the vendor said its not yet optimised for interviews but I hope they will do it.
AI certainly seems to be progressing now, I know I could just use typing into AI but the voice and transcription features and prompt enchancement just make this far more efficient and useful to me.
Well done Personoai, please do donsider optimising for interviews and consider the usual stuff such as "ummm" spotting. Im expecting even better results for its core jobs of pre sales meetings too. For this stage it is a solid 5 for now from me, more improvements and development will be needed for a secure future of course
