Link is broken, locked out of account and NO support available
We have just sent out a campaign to hundreds of people on our contact list that contains a link of Piar. This is the first link we've created inside the tool and when we tested it a few days ago, it worked, so we sent out the messages with the link. Today we sent a second wave of messages and people have replied to us that the link is broken!
When we checked, indeed the link didn't work anymore. I tried logging into the Piar account but the website has been irresponsive (when you click LOGIN, it doesn't respond). I tried clicking on the Support and Contact links on the website, but both are also dead links. I've reach out to AppSumo and also emailed Piar (I saw there was a 'mailto' address on the hover over) and am waiting for a response.
This is NOT acceptable, as it highly damages our brand with a broken link that we cannot fix because we can't even log into the account and there's NO way to reach Support (there's also no chat widget on their website). I also tried registering with a new email address to see it it would work, but that was also completely non-responsive! The only links that worked on their website are the Features and Pricing.
This MUST be resolved ASAP as the only choice we'd have is to send these hundreds of people another follow-up message with the original long link! This is labour intensive, costs us time and money and most importantly our brand reputation!!!

Feature-wise an excellent link shortener ***and*** preview generator for marketiers (two products in one)
The basic functionality of piar is stunning: You enter the target URL, title description and if needed a picture and piar generates a short link AND previews for all major social networks.
So it's basically two products at once. It allows others to see the click stats for each generated preview form outside via a dedicated URL (if checked) - useful if you set this up for clients.
Author administration is also included.
So in total, this is basically what I've dreamed of so far and now it's there.
There could be some improvements, though:
- The preview image could easily be generated from piar, like with Scrapy, portia, or else.
- the custom domain setup workflow is a bit challenging and could be automated.
- there could be more alternative base domains (as short as possible)
Anyway, I think the guys from piar.io have a bright future ahead and will be able to extend their business a lot! Thanks for this.
I have never been able to find a URL shortener that I'm wild about, and I'm NEVER crazy about how my link previews look. Created my first URL with my own customized image this week. It looked great and best of all, it was super easy for me to figure out. Bonus since I am not the most tech savvy!
Hi all this will solve the problem I see on our feeds where I want a better image to be displayed. it is quick and easy to get set up and going. I had my first link in under a minute.
One thing on the downside - at this time they have not automated their CName / delegration process - so we are still trying to work with their development team to get this sorted. they said it was done - but just tried to get a link and it is still showing their domain. I am sure others are feeling this friction point so hoping they jump on this fast and fix it so it is automated.
Moving past that, we have a bog job ahead of us - but I am very excited that we will finally have control of our messages across all of our channels. Must have tool lee
