A: Yes, definitely 🙂 A standalone Mac app is already on our roadmap. We’re planning to support a lightweight menu-bar app so Picbolt can run right from the top menu for quick access.

I’m writing to ask about the transparent background feature for icon and logo generation. At the moment, it doesn’t seem to be working as expected, as the generated images still appear with a background. It doesn't matter whether the file is downloaded as .png, .svg, .ico.

A: Hey Dirk,
The transparent background issue is currently coming from OpenAI’s image generation itself. In some cases, it returns images with a mild grey background even when transparency is requested, regardless of the export format (PNG, SVG, ICO).
Workaround: You can use Picbolt’s built-in editor and slightly adjust the brightness so the background turns pure white, then download as PNG....
