I would recommend trying it out and see if it works out for your use case. Since we are compressing files at the moment, it might be difficult to zoom to large files and see everything properly. However, we are considering to rework the zooming functionality (especially when it comes to larger files), so this should be improved in the future.

You can upload all file types to collaborate up to 5GB file size.
For images the max. image file size (resolution) is: 268 Megapixel, ~24000px on the long edge and DPI do not matter.
