Q: Wonderful product!
1- Can you please explain the video encoding part?
2- Are all these tiers linked to the Pro and will they get all the future updates for the pro?
3- Does your product support white-labeling and cname. I haven’t seen a mention here on the product homepage. It’s a selling point for such product when it comes to dealing with external clients.
Thank you!

May 14, 2024A: Hi Emad,
Thank you for reaching out with some questions.
- The video encoding minutes in your plan are only relevant if you upload video content. If you upload a video to Picter it needs to be encoded for the web preview and annotation features to work. Depending on how long the video file is that you upload this video length gets counted against your monthly encoding minutes.
- Yes, all AppSumo tiers are linked to Picter Workspace Pro and get all future updates.
- For now Picter Workspace does not support white-labeling (and or cname). However we have this feature on our public roadmap. Feel free to prioritize it here https://roadmap.picter.com/c/40-white-labelling-and-branding-options.
Best wishes,

Thank you for your prompt answer.
So the video will not be in its original quality? assuming I do not annotate or comment and I just want to show an HD video to my clients, will it be encoded and the quality will change. Currently I zip and send to not sacrifice any chance of compromise.
Hi Emad,
For video files the following applies:
Any resolution up to 4K is supported. Resolution and aspect ratio is untouched for the web preview. Web-previews use 24fps; If you allow a full resolution download the downloadable files remain completely untouched.
Visually supported filetypes are: mov, mp4, mpg, m4v, m2ts, gif. If you upload a different type of movie file it won't receive a web preview. Time-based annotations only work in the visually supported file types.
Codec: Doesn't matter. Max. file size 5 GB, for now.
Best wishes,
Sebastian
Hi Emad,
A short update about framerates for web previews:
Since a recent update framerates in web previews remain untouched up to 30fps; Anything above 30fps will get a coherent frame rate reduction. (For example 60fps are displayed as 30fps in the web preview).
Best wishes,
Sebastian
Hi Emad,
I hope all your questions were answered? Please let me/us know if we can help you any further.
Also, if you have the time, we'd be happy about an honest feedback here.
Thanks, best wishes

Thank you so much both Sebastian and Claudio for the information and follow-up.
Everything is great so far but the video web playback is limiting for my use case if compared with frame.io (4K Ultra HD playback) and platforms. A lot of other services I'm comparing stream at high definition some are even 4K and higher FPS without encoding, which gives clients a great experience of what they can expect to see as is.
There are no doubts about the generous amount of storage and bandwidth offered in this deal but it came to cost for my use case. I really hope that there are some plans to have such ultra HD playback or if I want to show short ads unencoded in 4k (if unannotated).
Once again thank you so much and good luck with your campaign team.
Hi Emad,
Thank you for the specific feedback. Improving the video playback options and supporting 4k content with higher frame rates on Picter Workspace will be added to our roadmap.
Best wishes,
Sebastian
