Q: Sorry to bring descript into discussion again, but regarding a recent affirmation that Pictory can do ...
"everything plus more", I'm not sure if accurate.
Descript has the overdub option - which is a very rare feature of voice cloning - much superior to any "text to speech engine" because it's pronouncing anything you type in your own voice.
1. Can Pictory do such a thing?
2. If so (your offer is a no brainer) - but what are the limits for voice cloning?
Thanks

May 15, 2024A: I agree, Pictory does not have the overdub feature, which is indeed quite powerful.
But Pictory has a lot of other options like text-to-video, 6 million+ visuals from Shutterstock, text-to-speech. So, it enables several other use-cases.
I hope the company starts answering the questions, as it looks like a buy to me, but I get nervous when questions go unanswered.

Descript Is a 5 stars software with excellent support. The latter feature, support, is critical in this business. The feature Dubb in beta is worth over $1,000 per si. I have no affiliation to descript but please don’t compare a Fiat to a Tesla
