I have to say this is one of the best purchases I ever made on Appsumo. I find creating video cumbersome and so time-consuming. Pictory has changed all that for me.
I purchased tier 2 of the software and immediately dove right in. It is so simple to use, there is actually no need for tutorials. I did run into one issue and the Pictory staff was right there ready to walk me through the steps using the chat feature.
In about an hour, I created a beautiful 90-second video after having just opened the software. Not too bad!
So why the 4 tacos?
There are a few updates still needed to make Pictory the best editing tool around.
1. There needs to be a way to move scenes within the video. Right now if you decide a scene would work better at a different location, you have to recreate the scene. While this is not a deal-breaker, I did have to recreate a few scenes and I realized how much simpler it would have been to just move the scene back and forth. Customer service did indicate they are working on this feature and I hope it is ready soon.
2. The library is pretty limited and what is offered are not the most modern images or videos. They almost look old-fashioned or what you would find on bad stock photo sites. I ended up having to upload my own stock photos which again is not a deal-breaker for me since I have them all organized in drop box. It would be amazing if Pictory linked to Unsplash in the future.
3. The library tags are odd. I typed in the word grocery lists and the photos that came up had nothing to do with a grocery list. I received photos of eggs and cars just to name a few. Pictory - you may want to check your tags because I think they need some work!

All in all this software is well worth the money. It is a perfect tool to simplify the task of video creation!
