Our team started in 2019 with just three people: Roman, Kristina and I. As with any startup, we worked our day jobs and spent our evening planning out Picvario 😴. Today, we are proud to say that our team has grown internationally, including Moldova, Armenia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Canada and USA. Even though we cannot meet every day in person, our team parties hard after events for American (DMLA) and European (CEPIC) associations of media archives. With great honour, I joined the IPTC metadata standards council, which allowed us to further develop our software to global standards improving user experience when working with metadata.

The inspiration behind Picvario was a photo agency, globallookpress.com. They have been in the news and media market for over 20 years; Global Look was in search of a platform to manage and store large quantities of media assets. Initially, Picvario was built for them as a way to expand their reach and to safely and efficiently store and manage media assets.

Our team works with new trends in media content development and metadata. Besides the basic features available in all DAM systems, we have recently implemented Alt-text metadata fields in IPTC/XMP, embedding galleries from Picvario on websites and multilingualism. These features will further simplify your everyday tasks and leave you with more time for creativity. The platform is for everyone looking to get organized, no matter where they are in the world. 🌏

- What languages do you support?
Currently, the platform is in English. However, descriptions, metadata, and searches will work for any language. We have also implemented multilingualism allowing automatic translation to any language 🌐. This feature is great for international companies and multinational teams.

- Can I white-label this product?

- Is it possible for me to upgrade my product or plan later? 👍
Yes, please feel free to contact us directly if you expand your team or need more storage. However, all future updates are already included in your plan.

- How do you store user data? 🗄️
Picvario uses Amazon Web Services to host our services with servers located in Northern Virginia, USA. Amazon provides an extensive list of compliance assurances and regulatory requirements, including SOC II and ISO 27001.

- Who has access to user data?
🖐️ We don’t! If you need help, you can give access to tech support to your account. Once the issue is resolved, the tech account can be deactivated or deleted.
