PinBoostr Review: A Strong Pinterest Tool With Room to Grow
My honest review. Here’s what I like, what I don’t, and what I think needs improvement.
POSITIVES
1. Sustainable in the Long Run (AI Image Generation Costs Money)
AI image generation costs money every time it is used. Because of that, I am always cautious about lifetime deals that promise a large number of renewable AI credits every month, FREE forever, especially when the company does not appear to have another recurring revenue stream. Eventually, somebody has to pay (subscription clients) for those AI-generation costs.
I’ve been burned twice before by purchasing lifetime-deal apps that promised unlimited editing and unlimited AI image generation. One of them was FoodGlow.ai (which no longer works after 2 months), and that experience taught me an important lesson: AI image generation is not free.
PinBoostr sells extra credits when you run out instead of giving free monthly credits, making its lifetime deal more sustainable.
2. Automated Pinterest Pin Generation
As for the application itself, PinBoostr has great potential.
It can automatically generate Pinterest Pins from your website, saving you considerable time if you publish frequently.
3. AI-Generated Image Quality
Pinboostr uses ChatGPT. Compared with Nano Banana, ChatGPT is better (based on my experience—don’t argue with me)—the overall image quality, composition, and usability are impressive, especially for Pinterest, where strong visuals matter.
4. The Scheduler Alone Has Real Value (Reason I Bought This Deal)
Even if you run out of AI credits, PinBoostr remains useful because you can upload your own images, create Pins, and schedule them (FREE) without using any credits. With PinBoostr, you already have access to the scheduler through the lifetime deal, and using your own images does not consume any AI credits. Premium scheduler out there costs $5 a month so this is a real deal.
NEGATIVES / AREAS THAT NEED IMPROVEMENT
1. URL Selection
One area that I think still needs improvement is how the software selects URLs. Sometimes it creates Pins for pages I wouldn't necessarily want promoted, such as tag pages, category pages, or other URLs that may not represent actual articles or important content.
GrowthBrain should give its users more control before it starts generating Pins. At the moment, it seems to generate automatically without first asking how you want it configured. I would prefer to review the settings, selected URLs, and generation options before any credits are consumed.
This is especially important because once GrowthBrain generates a Pin, credits are already used. If you do not like the result and need to edit or regenerate it, additional credits may be consumed again. A confirmation step before generation would help users avoid wasting credits unnecessarily.
SUGGESTIONS / FEATURE REQUESTS
1. Add a Media Library
Another feature I would really like to see is a Media Library inside the application.
Ideally, users should be able to bulk-upload dozens or even hundreds of their own images to a central media library.
2. Create Manual Pin — Single and Bulk Creation
Another feature I would like to suggest is a dedicated Create Manual Pin option.
Users should be able to create a single Pin manually by entering the destination URL, title, and description, selecting a board, and uploading their own image.
This would be useful when you already know exactly what you want to publish and do not need GrowthBrain or AI generation.
It would also be very helpful to have a bulk manual Pin creation option. Users could upload multiple images at once, assign URLs, titles, and descriptions, and assign them to boards, then schedule them in batches. Then use AI to spin titles, descriptions and texts.
3. Create a Step-by-Step GrowthBrain Tutorial
GrowthBrain is one of the most important features of the app. Right now, all I see is that it creates 2 pins when you run it. Also confusing: I need to run it to produce 2 pins a day, then it pauses, then I need to run it again to produce another 2 pins.
It should allow me to create as many pins as I want over a specified period, like one week or a month, like pingenerator, and drip-feed them. A detailed written (article) / YouTube tutorial from the developer would be ideal.
GrowthBrain should always run automatically in the background according to the parameters you set, without requiring you to run it manually each time.
OVERALL IMPRESSION
Overall, I think PinBoostr is a promising product. It still needs refinement, particularly when it comes to URL selection, content filtering, and media management, but the foundation is there.
Most importantly, I appreciate that the developers have thought about sustainability and responsiveness so quickly.

Aug 16, 2026Wow — thank you for taking the time to write this out. Honestly, reviews like yours are worth more to us than a five-star with no words, because you actually used the thing and told us what's real. Let me go through your points properly.
First, on sustainability — you nailed exactly the thinking behind PinBoostr, and I'm glad it came through. We got tired of watching LTDs promise "unlimited free AI forever" and then quietly die once the generation bills piled up (sorry you got burned by FoodGlow — that's the exact trap we refused to walk into). So the deal gives you the software for life — scheduler, manual pins, your own images, all free forever with zero credits. AI image generation is the only piece with a real per-use cost, so it stays separate: you get a one-time batch of credits with the deal, and if you run out you just top up with credit packs — no sneaky subscription. And if you'd rather not buy credits at all, you can plug in your own OpenAI key and pay OpenAI directly. Nobody's secretly subsidizing anyone, which is the whole reason it'll still be here in two years.
Now the part I really need to clear up, because a couple of your frustrations are actually us hiding features too well — not features that don't exist.
Growth Brain doesn't need you to run it manually.
That "run it → get 2 pins → it pauses → run it again" loop you described isn't how it's meant to work at all. There's an Auto mode — flip it ON once and it runs quietly in the background on its own, generating and scheduling for you around the clock. You never touch it again. (There's also a Review mode if you'd rather approve each batch first, and you can Pause anytime.)
And that "2 pins" thing isn't a cap — it's Auto Volume doing its job.
It decides how many pins to make based on how much fresh content you actually have, how warmed-up your Pinterest account is, and Pinterest's own rate limits, because hammering a cold account with a fixed number is a fast way to get flagged. As your account warms up and you add more content, it scales the volume up on its own. So the "dripfeed over a week or a month" behavior you're asking for is basically what it's already doing — we just haven't explained it well enough, which is 100% on us.
On the URLs — you actually have full control over this, and it's the part I most want to point you to. Inside Growth Brain, Click settings button -> click the Links tab and hit Choose — that opens the Link Picker, and it's exactly the "let me decide what gets promoted" tool you're asking for. Tag, category, author and plain pages are hidden by default (there's even a "Hide low-value sections" switch keeping them out), so out of the box Growth Brain only touches your real posts.
From there you can go section by section — Hide / Allow / Choose for Posts, Pages, Tags, Categories, Authors — or flip to the Links view and cherry-pick individual URLs one by one.
You can also add "Topics to favor" and "Words to avoid" to steer it further.
So the "review the URLs before it runs" control is genuinely there, right down to the single-link level — we just buried it a click too deep, and clearly you shouldn't have had to hunt for it.
And the Manual Pin feature you asked for?
It already exists — this one's fully on us for hiding it. It's called Pin Lab: you can drop in a destination URL, write your own title, description and alt text, pick a board, upload your own image, and schedule it — no AI, no credits, exactly the "I already know what I want to publish" flow you described. And for the bulk version, Pin Lab takes a CSV upload (up to 500 rows) where you map URLs, titles, descriptions, images and boards and schedule the whole batch at once — with the option to AI-spin the copy if you want it, or skip it entirely.
Please give Pin Lab a spin; I think it covers most of your single + bulk request already.
Now, the things you're right that we're genuinely missing — and these are going on the list because of you:
A real Media Library.
Right now you can upload an image while building a pin and pull from past uploads, but there's no central place to bulk-drop hundreds of images and organize them. You're right, that should exist.
A proper Growth Brain tutorial/video is definitely overdue. The reason it’s still pending is that we’re actively making changes and adding new features. We don’t want to publish a tutorial now only to have it become outdated shortly after.
We’ve got most of the walkthrough prepared, and once the current updates are finalized, we’ll get the video published.
Thank you, genuinely. You've simultaneously reminded us we've got features people can't find. That's a great review. If you ever want a hand setting Growth Brain to full Auto, dialing in the Link Picker, or getting started in Pin Lab, reach out to support and we'll walk you through it personally.
